But yeah its completely crazy as to how much of a FOOT East Africans(Swahilis, Somalis and Abyssinians(Ethiopians) had in the Indian Ocean sea. The Indian Ocean trade being one of the most important trades in history and black people played a major role in that part of history. Black people were really the BOSS back then. :wow:

Think about it...
  1. East Africans like Somalis, Abyssinians and Swahilis were known as the "vanguards" of the ocean.
  2. You had Africans freaking going as far as to China bringing exotic animals.
  3. Towns on the African coastlines being constantly visited.
  4. Africans being among the best sailors.
  5. Africans like the Swahilis and Somalis especially having MANY settlements around the Indian Ocean on many islands and EVEN in Arabia!
  6. Then you have Africans like the Abyssinians(Ethiopians) colonizing islands of southern India and bossing up to Indians of the mainland.
  7. Coastal East African towns being among the wealthiest
  8. East African kingdoms like Axum controlling southern Arabia.
  9. Then I hear about African sultans in Oman.
  10. We have the Land of Punt who were already apart of the trade in antiquity.
  11. Then we have the fact that the people of the Swahili coast were TOO already apart of the trade in antiquity and were trading with people like the Romans!
  12. And then finally an enslaved African who became a KING in Yemen!

Popular to common belief Africans were not just mere slaves of the Indian Ocean trade, but were running shyt...:wow:

Again totally refutes false beliefs about African history. The Abyssinians/Ethiopians alone were like the Chinese of Africa.

For over a century White people and Arabs have been claiming that this is Arab architecture. Now Whites and Arabs are finally acknowledging that this is African architecture rather than Arab. People just keep on sleeping on Africans and their accomplishments.

Swahili architecture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I posted a huge amount of evidence from archaeological sources and from scholars debunking the myth that the Swahili coast was founded by foreigner. Arabs came late during the 18th and 19th century in large numbers. The British when they colonized East Africa gave the Oman Sultan control of Zanzibar and lied and said it was always created by Arabs.

And mean WHY WOULD both Europeans and Arabs want to aknewledge that the so called "primitive Bantu", these guys.

Had the biggest influence(next to Somalis and Ethiopians) in one of the most important trades in history!? Also being that Europeans were late comers also increases their butthurtness...

Also you should look up Swahili archaeologist Felix Chami who I posted many sources from. He does a very good job debunking the myth that his culture/civilization was founded by non-Africans.

Yeah the East Coast of Africa was well connected with the world in the past. Arab travellers like Ibn Battuta and that Chinese expedition were :ohhh: when they landed at some of these coastal cities.

A lot of these coastal cities nowadays have their own culture separate from the interior which is a fusion of Arab/Muslim and native.

Also @Akan

I find it interesting that they fixed up the Kilwa page, because I remember a couple of years ago Euronuts were editing it and were trying to say the island of Kilwa was founded by a Persian king or something.:mjpls: Now they are saying the island is the work of indigenous Africans
Kilwa Kisiwani - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But don't get too comfortable, just look at the page about Zanzibar which has no citations.
History of Zanzibar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I find this part the most hilarious:
The first permanent residents of Zanzibar seem to have been the ancestors of the Hadimu and Tumbatu, who began arriving from the African Great Lakes mainland around 1000 AD. They had belonged to various Bantu ethnic groups from the mainland, and on Zanzibar they lived in small villages and failed to coalesce to form larger political units. Because they lacked central organization, they were easily subjugated by outsiders.

Lets just ignore that there was no citation for the whole section, but the fact that we know this is untrue based on archaeological records and first hand people who visited like Ibn Battuta. The stuff that does have citations are badly outdated info.

The stuff I posted by Felix Chami refutes the idea that Zanzibar was founded and controlled by foreigners and those videos too.
