Let's talk about Terrence Howard and Iron Man

Bunch of fukkin losers in here. Hindsight is 20/20. You can look back at his decision and say it was ill advised but at the time, it was a slap in the face. Lets scale it down a bit. If you're making $450,000 one year (that's small time on the Coli ) and your firm asked you to take a pay cut to $100,000...how would you feel?

In this day and age you accept the pay cut while looking for another job

Howard was feeling himself to much like he was some a list celebrity

And Terrence howard isn't one of the 2 or 3 black actors that hollywood respects, so he had no leverage in any deal.

Yea, that's what was reported. Heard he got between $500,000 to 1 million for the first Iron Man while T. Howard got 4.5 million and was the first person casted in the film.

IMO Howard portrayed the character better.

Coming off an Oscar nomination and starring in two of the most critically acclaimed movies of 05, he was just about as A List as it got during the time for African American actors. The truth is that Marvel tried to low ball him and he had the balls to say fukk it. Marvel has historically tried to low-ball several of its actors whoch is part of the reason why Robert Downey was having negotiating issues to star in Avengers 2 & 3 because he was also negotiating on behalf of the ensemble. They almost didn't get Mickey Rourke for Iron Man 2 because the offer was too low.

Point is you win some and you lose some, Terrence Howard made the decision that he wasn't going to be low-balled by them CACs and it is what it is
