Yes if your definition is along the lines of "1 race believing they are superior to another"

I say sticks and stones may break my bones but institutional racism will encourage the rape, genocide, and the high-school to prison pipeline of Black people.

The question should really be "why do so many people ignore the impact of institutional racism, and instead prop up their name-calling version as the definition?:jbhmm:
Why do they argue so vehemently in proving that Black people can be racist? I rarely see the same passion and scholarship when the discussion is on the impact of institutional racism, and making amends for it.

A few signs that you're dealing with a suspected White supremacist or newblack:

They care more about whether or not Black people can be racist, than actual institutional racism.
They are upset at not being "allowed" to say nikka/er, and believe "nobody should say it" if other groups can't.
They reference Chicago's Black on Black crime more than Chicago's corrupt police officers.
They sign petitions and raise funds for animals yet keep their wallet closed when a Black person is blasted away by a racist with a badge.

They don't care about the arguments they present; it's literally just words to mock, confuse, and distract Black people.
This. Only institutional racism is a problem imo. Racism on a social level is never going away. :yeshrug:

@Sword this isn't about just slavery. It's about racism. This is about racism today. Like, if you're Hawaiian, you can't be racist against white people because any hatred you would have is justified.
And the funny thing is I lived on oahu for 4 years, on the poor side with the Hawaiians and the hatred they have for whites rival that of black people. They tought us about horrors white people put their people through and the test bombing of pacific islands that fukked people up forever, in elementary school.

I don't know what the fukk this dude is talking about when Hawaiians saw black people as brother and white people as oppressors.

This type of argument is purely semantics... it's silly to me.

Black people are obviously not the perpetrators of THE racist system of opression here in America, they are the victims of it. So obviously they can't be racist in that context. But anyone can be racist generally speaking because the word racist just means you think there are fundamental differences between human beings based purely on "race" and generally, you look down on other "races" for reason A, B, or C. Anyone can do that.

However, white people complaining about racism towards them.... cause they can't say nikka and shyt like that is :snoop: embarassing. So most of the time when black racism is brought up, it will be some dumb shyt like white people feeling like black people are racist cause they "keep racism alive by bringing it up all the time" :snoop: :snoop:. The thought process shown in those examples is just bullshyt, but long story short yeah; anyone can be racist in my opinion.
Best post I read thus far.

Honestly, I don't. All my life I have naturally empathised with the black American struggle.

I just can't cosign racism, whether or not some of you guys think your racism is justified.
I think your confusing us reacting to racist whites with racism.

Black people action wise are not racist/prejudice. In fact most of our actions throughout history have been antiracist.

We are just tired of begging white people to treat us as equals here in America and are now demanding it.

It's weird how people think bigotry and prejudice are somehow better than racism. It's nothing to pay yourself on the back over

On that note I've rarely seen black people in this country be prejudiced towards a group of people like the whites have or even like how other groups feel about us. Our feelings are usually a backlash from some form of mistreatment. Example: You'll never see a black American have genuine hate of Asian people, we will dislike how they treat black people however. Asians on the other hand hate blacks for racist made up reasons, like skin color

Racism

1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.

2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such adoctrine; discrimination.

3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

the definition of racism

Prejudice

1. an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or withoutknowledge, thought, or reason.

2. any preconceived opinion or feeling, either favorable or unfavorable.

3. unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, especially of a hostilenature, regarding an ethnic, racial, social, or religious group.

4. such attitudes considered collectively:
The war against prejudice is never-ending.

5. damage or injury; detriment:
a law that operated to the prejudice of the majority.

the definition of prejudice

Clearly, one is power based while the other isn't

No. And I know how this is gonna go. Blacks say no and Cacs gonna say yes black people can and make up a fake story of a black person calling the some weak ass insult that they think is equal to what whites have done to back since the 1600s-2016 :mjlol:

I agree with this in terms of blacks it does tend to be reactionary racism even though it ain't excusable
