i dont know how to make this any more clear.

this is about the impact and popularity of this album and how successful it was. also, how people used to argue over the 2 albums when they dropped.

i never said i personally felt that fab's album was better.:deadhorse:
Only thing I heard when that album dropped was how subpar it was.

Fab couldn't see Big L with the pinch lines.

That's just a cute thing to say...he surpassed Big L a long time ago...please don't drop that "like beavis I get nuthin but head" line as proof like nikkas like to do...u gotta give big l props for probaly inspiring nikkas like Fab...but that don't mean he can't be surpassed...fab inspired a generation in his own right, give em his props people...fab hate is just a trendy thing to do.

Only real nikkas know how Frank Bruno was right up there with Mike Tyson back in the '80s.

My Pops Forever RIP
Normally I shyt on Wacky D threads and rightfully so, but on 9/11, A LOT of people around my way were buying both of those albums. Obviously the Blueprint was better and Ghetto Fabolous over time really didn't age well, but back in 2001 a lot of NY heads wanted to hear a Fab album. Everyone loved him lyrically and on top of that he was getting beats from top notch producers, so the anticipation for Ghetto Fab was pretty high.

Once everyone bought em and heard both, it was no contest though. Fab had some bangers but all anyone could talk about was Takeover. Fab just had those party records you'd find on those Hot 97 mixtapes all the time

Nah Jada wuz more than a punchline rapper,I'm talkin bout dudes with a bunch of empty lines used simply to set up the next punchline....fab wuz metaphors like almost every other bar with a bunch of meaningless lines inbetween to set up the metaphor....to me fab is way better than he wuz durin ghetto fabolous for that reason.

Kind of a insult to jada to put jada up as the man who spawned the corny east coast mixtape rappers I'm talkin about,a bunch of nameless nikkas who walked around thinkin of metaphors all day...Fab birthed them nikkas,he surpassed that now and left all those corny bums for dead...who been as consistent for aslong with the punchlines?ill wait.

Saying "it's a cute thing to say" is just a cute thing to say. Fab is nowhere near as sharp or as clean with his punches as L was. Fab has never surpassed L at his best as far as punch line emceeing. The only thing that Fab has on L is quantity. The fact that you think that one particular punch epitomizes L says enough.

It's easy to look at my life and don't see no pain
I remember takin 3, 4 trains to re cocaine
Standing in the lobby during sleet, snow, rain
Waiting for fiends with a pint of beef lomain
Breaking day on the grind, I used to be so drained
But ain't a Saturday I wasn't up to see Soul Train
Sometimes I ain't see no gain
cause I was runnin to Ralphies everytime my trees showed stains
I was lucky I ain't seized or maim
Get shot or stuck up standin at them C-Lo games
But now shyt with these skios changed
I ain't know why the fukk they used to look at me so strange
Glanced at my neck and didn't see no chain
Be saying "That's nasty", wouldn't give me no brain
Ya'll surprised F-A-B-O's sane
In my rolla life, I done jumped in and out of 3, 4 lanes
I'm still here

That's what I used to hate about Fab's style. I'm all for multis but when it's natural. Seemed like Fab went out of his way trying to fit in multis.
