I know I will catch hell for not putting the French extreme films on here like High Tension, Inside, and Martyrs, but I don't find those scary at all...more torture porn and less storytelling imo
That's not to bad. It definitely feels Western-centric though.

I don't find straight exploitative "horror" films to be scary unless done in a certain style like Lucio Fulci and Mario bava did in the 70s and 80s...these new exploitative extreme films are just flat out ridiculous...High Tension was actually excellent until that stupid fukking twist ruined the movie...
Martyrs and Inside are completely empty...just torture and blood; no atmosphere, in depth story, nothing.
In regards to Inside, what home invasion movie has a story, outside of people being evil for the hell of it? Cherry Tree Lane is about the only one that I can think of. The antagonist of Inside is smart and actually has some motivation. I don't see torture porn in it. More like a battle of wits between two desperate people. The gore is certainly over-the-top though and I can easily see why some don't like it.
I dislike the Saw series for the same reason you don't fukk with these. lol.
what scene was that? dont remember itYep. Jaws' body count in that first movie was crazy; and that is a PG movie that showed headless bodies and sharks eating people in a graphic sense. Plus if you ever been in the water when sharks are there, its some scary ass shyt

I got the blu ray and I've seen it a few times; it shows body parts/limb and I remember one of the people they show quickly float by without a head; I still can't believe they let this movie be PG back then
