@hustlemania postin them "Woke nikka 101" books tho. :russ: :myman:
I actually have the uncorrected proof of that Scarface book sitting in my bathroom. I'ma still try to get that in the store.

But in terms of Hip Hop books I actually haven't read too many but the ones I liked were the Pac poetry book, Chuck D's autobio "Fight the Power", and the book written by the cop that investigated Biggie's murder....there was lots of pieces of that whole time period that were added thanks to that book. I hadn't known about that incident between Quik and the 60 before reading that book.
:myman:

Talib actually put me onto J.A. Rogers, and gave me "From Superman to Man", as well as "Worlds Greatest Men of Color" at his bookstore back in '97.. not really into hip-hop bios, but the few ive actually read are pretty good.. you happen to have a lank to the Russell Poole joint..? :lupe:

Off the top of my head, I have read

'Laybrinth'
'Queens Reigns Supreme'
'Have Gun Will Travel'
'Who Killed Biggy and 2pac' (Cathy Scott)
BMF

I have skimmed Jay's coffee table book, and Scarface bio, and a handful of others in Barnes & Noble.....

Prodigys My Infamous Life was a great read. Half of it sounded like duck tails but who knows.

Eminems Angry Blonde was actually good. it was cool to read his thoughts while writting certain songs.

True, I heard he had a store. I work at a Black Owned bookstore by Howard so I gotta know them J.A. Rogers books, hell I know the publisher. :yeshrug:

But yeah, I read that Russel Poole joint back in 11th grade I can't even remember the title. But it was really good that's what I do know. Holler If You Hear Me by Michael Eric Dyson wasn't bad either.

I've had this book at the store before. Thought it was pretty good, sold quick. I'll most likely get it for Black Friday. :ehh:
