the grimm graphic novel is terrible, he names no names. it might as well be about anybody random
dance with the devil is ok, but it has a heavy focus on him. which i dont think anyone knew him enough to care
flav's book is interesting, its written exactly how he talks. but he talks a lot about the tension between him and griff. which is funny but kind of terrifying too
LL's bio was good but a tiny bit disturbing in a couple spots (like the story about him hopping off the bus). buy it
prodigys book is dope. buy it
im in the middle of luther campbells book and its the best yet so far. buy it
i have scarface book but havent cracked it
the ego trip rap list is an interesting almanac type joint. the info in it is dated at this point tho.
super heads first book and carmen bryant books were entertaining

im probably forgetting some

This was one of my favorite books when it came out when I was in high school. Finally got it autographed years later:

FIGHT THE POWER by Chuck D

And I have no idea who has my original copy of this jewel cuz it got passed around so many times, but for any cats that used to (or still do) get up with the spray paint, this is a must have:

THE ART OF GETTING OVER: GRAFFITI AT THE MILLENIUM by Stephen Powers

And this is still one of the most important books I ever read as far as help shaping my outlook on life (at the time anyway), the importance of developing consciousness, and understanding how power structures in society shape everything we think and do. And it has a ton of interviews from hip-hop personalities in it. First read it back in 2000, fantastic book:

NO MORE PRISONS by William "Upski" Wimsatt
