I remember kobe getting more hype than LeBron. there just weren't things like SLAM magazine and high schoolers dominating the draft in the mid-90s. they hyped kobe to the point where he was voted in as an all-star before he even started for the lakers.

and LeBron actually lived up to that hype, and is even surpassing it.
