I'm confused, the first 3 women gave legit reasons. One wasn’t religious & the other was focused on her career than starting a family. Very odd thread.

This was the least offensive one I’ve seen of these to be honest. He said he wanted a religious woman, and some of them aren’t religious, and don’t go to church. Another said she isn’t ready to start a family. You have to date someone who shares the same values, and lifestyle. Everybody doesn’t want to feed the homeless. As for them saying he’s soft spoken, if they are loud women who like attention, are they going to make a good wife for him with his personality?

It takes more than good qualities to make a relationship work, or have desire. You can have lots of good qualities, but if the attraction and chemistry aren’t there, it isn’t there. You cannot force, or negotiate attraction. Let’s say he met a female law graduate. If she is the social type who likes going out on the weekend, she needs a man who also likes going out on the weekend. This guy probably stays in, because he has to get up to go to church in the morning. Meanwhile, other women like to stay in, and go to church too. Stop trying to get people to change into what you want, and date the ones who are already like that.

First off I do want to say I have no issue with someone not matching with a person due to religion. That's a perfectly valid reason to not date someone, and rejecting them outright is better than trying to make it work and breaking up later because you aren't compatible.
The only other objectionable thing I heard was the family comment. I would have liked to have him clarify on that: when he says family over career does that apply to himself as a soon-to-be-lawyer too, or does he expect to work all day while his wife (who gave up her career) handles all family duties. I don't think that's what he meant but I would have loved to hear him explain and discuss it. Dude is sharp btw, I was impressed.
Basically everything else was good. Handsome, well dressed, VERY respectful, educated, well spoken...and you could tell all that shyt turned these women off. My general view is that so many black women have no real personal experience around a positive black relationship (parents, grandparents, friends, television, media, etc) that all they're interested in is self centered entertainment. They want a man who can go on endless vacations, go out to eat every night, has an endless budget for fun, etc. Doesn't matter if you're a bum or a rapper, the standard is that you're basically a plus one for her fun. A successful black man with a demanding job can't go on vacations nonstop so that's not good enough. Ironically though...a successful white man who can only do a couple vacations is fine though....

Again, our half doesn't need humbling. I don't need to put shìt down. The show functions as an unintentional social experiment by drawing people from various parts of the country and different occupations and levels of education. The fuçkery you see there is more representative of the zeitgeist than you want to admit.
