Bernie really had to be talked into asking AOC for her endorsement :snoop:He really didn’t want to be president. He just wanted to get his message across. If he really wanted to win you ask people for their support. Why would his campaign think they could win without making serious inroads with Black voters. Just politically inexcusable. I respect everything Bernie has done, but the next progressive that run have to be able to reach out much better than Bernie.
wasnt just the other day you all complaining about me saying this very thing and callin me a biden boy?

yall gotta make up yall mind

Not sure if you are referring to me or not when you say you all. I’m not responsible for what other people say. I have always criticized Bernie’s Black outreach.

Well his assessment after 2016 was to double down on ignoring black people and pandering to his already locked in base, so let’s not put anything past him.

was followed up by @mastermind randomly calling me a biden boy followed shortly by your support

maybe i should have just posted a long twitter thread instead?

again yall gotta make up your mind, because people been saying this for months/years but yall wasnt/arent trying to hear it or would prefer to change the topic to something else

Bernie fukked up by not understanding the math. Hispanics are the largest minority. But they're not the largest voting minority. That's still black people.

Though that'll change in 10 years. :francis:

What are you taking about? I was one of those people that was critical of Bernie’s Black outreach form the beginning of his campaign. It is one of the reasons I supported Liz over him. The difference is I like most of Bernie policies and don’t think he is trying to sabotage the Democratic Party. You seem to have a Black or White view of these issues with very little nuance. Also, I don’t remember the exact debate between you and @mastermind but I do know it was a lot more to it than you being called a Biden boy.

They just look silly

None of them have the self awareness to realize they are in essence saying their candidate is getting washed by someone who is dead or has dementia.

That's more embarrassing for Sanders than Biden.
they're such whiny b*stards

No it actually wasn’t. The literal next post was a response from him saying that and you saying I “dodged his point” (which was based off a false built narrative from him) several posts later (clicking the quote would help jog your foggy memory).

Not so ironically it’s a lack of nuance and a black and white view from you and others when anyone outside of your desired list with a critical statement makes them a warrior for Biden’s stances on race (a false equivalency of embarrassing proportions).

Just had to chuckle at the hypocrisy, per usual.

That is not what we're saying and I think you know better. You want to pretend like this is an even playing field and that it's just Bernie vs. a half dead Joe Biden who's winning off of merit and effort. He's getting washed by a propaganda machine who had no choice but to get behind Biden to stop Bernie after desperately trying to discard him for someone else the whole lead up to the race.

We keep arguing this, and while I think the media had an influence over the race, I respectfully disagree that they were solely responsible. I think Bernie running a bad strategy, hovering at 30 and not building the relationships he needed to build was a bigger factor in him losing than the media.

Also, I suppose the million dollar question is, if Biden had dropped out before South Carolina and candidates had formed like voltron behind, let's say mayor Pete for example would he have defeated Bernie? I am inclined to think not.

So Biden, despite the criticism, has an appeal that other candidates did not.
