I dont like the division between African countries there should not need a army for their next door neighbors . Causes nothing but problems and holds them back from being great.

If Rwanda and Uganda haven't tried to conquer and steal from the Congo for nearly 20 years, I'd agree with you. Idealism about pan-African ideas fly out the window when the meatgrinder of reality creates the sausage of realpolitik

I agree that right now Nigeria has the advantage easily. But they still need to diversify their economy. Especially considering the developed world is trying to find an alternative to oil.

Nigerians actively choose to not divest from oil... they could've diversified a long time ago but the elite don't care to.

What does Rwanda and Uganda have to do with the DRC ? I really dont know , do they have some type of conflict ? If so this goes back to my other thread on where I think Sub Sahara Africa needs to unite but thats a whole other topic.

It all has roots to the Rwanda genocide and first Congo War. Look up both those events.

Why would you care about internally generated revenues or making sure your tomato exports meet international standards if you make money from pumping Bonny Light Crude from the ground.

Then they will never prosper then , they still living by borders set up by their colonizers. I wish them the best but I dont see anything happening for them with the mind state that most african countries live by .

It's important to note that the state of Rwanda is largely the same geographic area as the Kingdom of Rwanda prior to German colonization. To a degree, the colonial borders of Central Africa are the issue but the Congo's problems with its Eastern neighbours are largely a modern phenomenon of the past 30-40 years starting from Mobutu's pro then anti Tutsi policies...

Yup.

Then their fukkED. At least Angola has sense to try by pushing their agriculture. Nigeria already lost good trading partners like the USA.

Ehhh they always will have potential investors given their numbers whenever they get their shyt together.

Angola is in a worse position from an export perspective

I prefer regional unity over pan-African unity. Mostly because I fear one individual controlling all of Africa. It sounds crazy, but I don't imagine one being can have that power by peaceful means.

Here's what I want to see of West Africa:
