but I mean damn. The Heats role players came to fukking play. These nikkas shot 54% from 3 point. Miller kept that game in fukking tact.

I questioned the rotations, I question Harden being put on Bron. The double teaming was idiotic in itself because you are playing right into James hand. Also the fact he couldn't get his team to stick on 3 point shooters.

Not saying all the blame goes to Brooks, but he didn't do much to help his team either.

if you play brewer or bogans over korver your spacing is even worse because nobody respects those guys on offense

Nah, cause Bogans was shooting the 3 at a higher clip then Korver was.

Korver was a useless as Harden was, but at least Brooks had a reason to keep going to Harden, he was balling all year. Korver however, was broke the entire series and if he isn't making shots you're better off playing a better defender instead.

And Bogans/Brewer had Wade looking like gutter trash the entire series.

So is "Scott Brooks" an alias for James Harden? :mjpls:

For real though, the Finals were great. It went 7 games, lots of drama, 3 overtimes.

The exhibition the Heat played after beating the Celtics in the Finals wasn't so fun to watch though.:lolbron:

Yup, and I been saying this all post season he's not the only reason ...we lost... but he makes things 100% more difficult for the team

It's not all Brooks fault. But him not communicating to his players about the shot clock when Westbrook committed that late foul, sitting Durant and West during the 3rd quarter and playing Perks/Fish were all huge mistakes. He'll learn from his mistakes just like the rest of the Thunder players will.

I can't believe that we all watched the same series and people are saying Scott Brooks is a good coach. Did we forget game 4 where he sat Durant AND Russy the last 5 minutes of the quarter and watched and 11 point lead turn into a 2 point deficit. But if that wasn't enough evidence, last night he just flat out refused to take Perk out of the game despite the world seeing Perk get his food at by Bosh. The answer was right there on his bench, play a Ibaka/Collison combo as a big lineup and a KD/Ibaka combo as a small lineup.

This shyt was BEYOND OBVIOUS!

EVERYBODY saw how useless Perk was in this series and most knew it before the series, yet Brooks kept him in as if he would magically start playing better :why: and Fisher :what:???? Might as well let Cook get some run if you're going to play dead fish.

Harden was guarding LeBron on the other end :what: not sure why....on top of that dude was missing WIDE OPEN jumpers

I agree...Heat probably still win this but his coaching cost them at least one game

I honestly think the fact Brooks kept a zone defense in his back pocket all series is disturbing. That's a minor adjustment. Dallas went to it last year and the Celtics did it. Forcing LeBron and Wade to compete in a jump shooting contest with your team is better than watch Bron get his Earl Campbell on and shoot layups all series. So yes, Brooks got undressed.....:manny:

The Heat were a better team, but a good coach makes up for flawed spots on their roster. In this case it was the defensive assignments. No way in hell should Brooks have Harden on LeBron. All the Heat had to do was run ISO at the top of key, have him blow/muscle past Harden. One of the bigs stepped in, only too late to draw fouls or lose their man to a wide open threes.

Coach should have went 1-3-1 on defense. The spot up shooters would have been guarded and they would have a big guarding the hole to step up and draw charges.

How does your best defender and STARTER play 9 minutes?

Scott brooks insisted on going big even when Miami was playing Bosh at center and lebron at the 4. WHY?

You saw Boston and Indiana make Miami struggle with the zone but you never run it?

Thabo should have been matched up with lebron every game for the entire game....bron will still get 30, but its gonna be against one on one defense....there won't be any double teams for Mike miller, battier, chalmers, Cole, etc to feast off of

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Phil Jackson should be their number 1 priority (if he wants to coach)

Stan Van Gundy would be a good look also.

Scott Brooks and the Thunder are still working on a contract extension.

Brooks' contract expires on July 1st.

Sources told ESPN.com this week that the Thunder have offered Brooks an annual salary "north of $4 million."

Sources say the front office has brainstormed internally about possible replacements in case talks collapse. Jeff Van Gundy and Phil Jackson have been mentioned.
