Let's be honest about Drake...can some of y'all really say he's not talented?

Dude is talented but he's fukin corny. To the way he dances, sing, stage presence, simps, dresses. He tries too hard.

For all the criticism I throw his way....he's probably the most talented rapper out of all the new ones....

Dude isn't just talented.. He's an EXCEPTIONAL pop artist..In some ways I feel like he's underrated..He is the sound of a whole generation and has spawned more clones than dudes that people claim have more influence..In his 3 year run he has more hits than Bad Boy did in their prime and thats no small accomplishment..

The problem with him is he's not a good hip hop artist or a good r&b artist..And he's constantly being placed in those catagories...If people just look at him for what he is and put him in proper context a lot of the hate would go away..

I never considered a Drake a rapper in the same context as a Rick Ross,Nas or Wayne.

He is a Rap/rnb/pop hybrid act.

The man simply makes good music.

You and I both know drakes bread and butter is love and the negatives of being famous. And yeah...he has every right to say he's the man let's check his track record and his sales numbers.

And to others, pop rapper? Take Care was a pop album? no, he's just diverse. Lord Knows, Look What You've Done, Underground Kings, etc. all hip hop as fukk. Then Shots for me, marvins room, cameras...that's good r&b. Of course he has some pop songs like take care and shyt but the hate is strong for him for no reason. So strong that I don't even like dude that much and felt the need to type two paragraphs about jimmy.

Every single rapper can be critecized for this. Rappers have their lanes and rap about what their comfortable about.

Name a rapper that can't be criticized on subject matter.

Rap is repetitive as a genre.

I don't fukk with Drake because there was a huge switch up from the shyt he was dropping from 07-08/ part of 09 compared to present day.

Yeah, he got better. Comeback season was good, but generic as fukk.

The "Blues" part in R&B doesn't translate through computerized focals imo..I feel like you can't android the soul...But he has the rhythm part down which makes for good pop...
