I also played these games a lot as well:

Banjo Kazooie
Goldeneye
Legend of Zelda
Diddy Kong Racing
Starfox
Yoshi's Story (CAN'T believe more people haven't mentioned it, was I the only one that enjoyed this game?)
Excite Bike (same with this one)
Tony Hawk
Paper Mario(!)
NFL Blitz (my favorite sport game for the longest)
Wave Race
Road Rash
Mario Party (Which I think inspired spirtitually the wave of casual games that followed next gen, and is the GOAT party game franchise to me, fukk a wii)
Wipeout 64
Snowboard Kids
Ready to Rumble
Kirby 64

:wow:
I have very conflicted feelings about Yoshi's Story. The gameplay, music, levels were exceptional and the art style/graphics held up to this day. The fruit collecting instead of simply making it to the end of the stage was also a great twist on the side scroller norm and made exploration a little more fun. But the choice of a story book where you choose one stage per page instead of an overworld map where you can play every stage was extremely annoying and takes away from the rest of the game. It also makes the game a lot shorter to play through

You know...now that I think about it.

Doesn't Nintendo keep recycling the same games over and over again? Ok, so why are they in the same position they are in today if they are basically following the same formula from the N64? :ohhh:

Nintendo's formula since 1996:

Come out with a console that has a unique controller (that nobody copies completely)
Drop classic first party games in a gen:
1 or 2 zelda games
A couple of Mario Kart games
A couple of Mario Games
A Metroid Game or 2
Party Games
Super Smash Bros
Lock up a 3rd party franchise

Isn't this EXACTLY what the Wii had? Right, and people blasted the console because it was absolute trash...just like the N64.

This thread is disrespectful to gamers worldwide.

:what: I wanted one but I saw the writing on the wall and got a playstation.
PS1 had heat whether it was a big name title or one that flew under everyone's radar, plus the games that never left Japan.

I love no mercy, mario and Zelda for the n64.
I still play no mercy to this day.
yet, and still ps1 was not to be fukked with.

they had fukkin alpha on ps1, and that jet fighter robotech like game that kills
true, madden and kobe for the 64 killed all the relevant psx sports games.
yet, if you liked shoot'em up style games and fighting games.
psx, was murdering n64.
I am a huge ninetendo guy,..
yet, Nintendo fukked up not keeping the psx, as their console.
it completely allowed sony a gateway into gaming that gave away Nintendo's culture and its grip on quality developers, in one fell swoop.
for Nintendo to be that egotistical,..to think they could not lose.
they were crazy, to give away the psx, to sony.
Nintendo gave away a monopoly.....

Dumbass,...
The psx was the Nintendo sony developed.
Nintendo tried to pull rank.
They fell out with Sony taking the Nintendo and naming it the Sony playstation, goofie.

Always a goofie who think they know-it-all out the crew.
Who does not know what the fukk they are talembout.

Real talk though,....

The nes is still the goat.
the snes is still rated higher than the psx and the n64.
If not for the nes,...
There would be no relevant boom to re-invigorate gaming.

I said it before, and I'll say it again... the SNES was better than both of those joints.

I'll put the Playstation over the N64 though, since their catalog ran way deeper than Nintendo's.
Mario and Zelda really carried the 64 IMO. There were other good games on the system, but apart from Mario 64 and the Zeldas, very few N64 games were touching the greatness of Metal Gear Solid, Symphony of the Night, Resident Evil 1-3, Street Fighter Alpha 2-3, Mega Man X4, or the Final Fantasy games.

If you needed to play a game with friends you pullin out the N64 breh :yeshrug:

The multiplats ran better on N64 usually too. Basically if you were a single child (like myself), you ate off the PS1, but I think the N64 catalogue was overall better.

I have way more memories and funny stories with the N64 than PlayStation. Me rarely losing rounds in 007 when we all use to play, still gets brought up when I chill with the family :russ:
