My only concern with Wes is the injury. A torn achilles is no joke. But if he can return to pre-injury form that's a clear upgrade over Bradley
And would we really need to trade up for Portis? Most mocks I've seen have him going in that range anyway

well..u know brad..who knows what he settles on. matthews isnt a guarantee to sign but we will pursue heavy 100% chance..and try to ensure we have $ for a run at the top guys. danny is gonna bust the spurs balls over that deal though..he knows we're taking on cash AND helping SA potentially get someone we'd want. that may not happen at all but apparently the band in san antonio is making one more run and want to load up their weapons for #6.

theres a chance we whiff..but then we at least get 2 second tier guys and use our trade exceptions and the wallace expiring. moves will be made. itd be silly to proclaim an absolute stud is a guarantee through FA this early in the game anyway. i guess cousins is more of a possibility than i thought..might be able to hop in a den/sac deal..but sacramento is all fukked up in the head right now so who knows. like i said many trades are being worked on going in all directions. if i gotta predict ill say 2 trades get done before the end of the nba draft

i didnt think cousins was at all possible. but for those interested..read on the kings situation. vlade/karl and their insane owner dont have much of a hierarchy right now in decision making. karl wants lawson and faried and theres no way to get them without cousins being in the deal unless the nuggets want to take on rudy gay..in which case they'd probably flip gallo..both teams have nice draft picks to shuffle around and we are the most flush in total assets + cap space...plus i think denver likes nurkic and they dont like faried anymore.
farieds contract jumps to 11m this year. shuffling around bradley/olynyk/sully/young/(maybe even thomas if going to denver) with faried/lawson and collison/cousins and whatever else plus all the cap space and picks that each team has makes sense if the motivation is there for sac-town to trade cousins before he might demand a deal and if karl has enough pull to convince lawson/faried as a good enough haul (as main pieces).
all of a sudden sac could have a core of lawson/mclemore/gay/faried..which isnt bad at all and fits karl's style better..
just sayin..it could happen. denver and sac-town could also just agree to deal straight ahead if they were going to go through with all that but we could help facilitate freeing up more money for them both and more picks for them both rather than having them butt heads over which of their picks will go back and forth to one another (as in conference rivals).
