That's a fact. Much respect to Phil Donahue for treating his more "controversial" guests with respect & seriousness, unlike shock value hosts like Morton Downey or Richard Bey.

No BS but I loved Morton’s show. shyt was pure, unadulterated fukkery but entertaining. Sally Jessy Raphael was also in the mix but I think she came on in the evenings iirc

You should watch a documentary on Morton Downey called the Evocateur. Everything is a transition, but it documents how that show played a large part in how political discourse is handled today. Very eye opening documentary.
