Yea i dont want to even watch this shyt after how they did the originals. I understand it cant go on forever but it was like the creator was fiending to go back to a teen cast.
Ill revisit when the season is almost done if it got good reviews

Shows are only supposed to last six seasons they got five, and as bad as that second season was they lucky they got that.
Yes, the last two seasons were prequels for legacies and you are supposed to feel someway about that.
It seems like the main problem with originals is that they gave Klaus too much power and didn't know what to do with it, a common theme for men. Now that a woman has all the power let's see if the writing gets better
Tvd went at least two seasons too long, they killed Katherine instead of Elena and the show suffered. Then Nina left the show and initially it got better but tried to center the show around Caroline but that was a disaster, she hadn't been a good character since season 1 when she was Damon's sex slave. I'm glad she is wot around for the beginning of legacies.
I will say legacies got some relationship angles that seem weird but I'm willing to let them play out and see what develops
I disagree. TVD went to crap when the whole Damon and Elena thing got started in season 4. Then season 5 went over the top iwth and kai saved it in season 6. Then without kai they had no direction so they just bullshytted with time skips and love angles that we didn't care about like Matt and his girl and Boonnie and enzo. The Originals last season,I agree, was unnecessary. The ending was fine to me I don't know why everyone is mad about it but they could have thrown that in season 4 mid season realistically after a timeskip and then closed out the show. That is how the actors wanted to go out and it ended the saga definitively.
