He was a star on that lakers team and besides 2000, put up superstar numbers in most of those wins. Even averaged more PPG than Shaq in the playoffs. So again I ask what's this best player on the team shyt mean and why doesn't this shyt apply when we talk about the 04 finals? While that was Kobe's worse display, ever, The fact that the defense stopped Shaq enough to give Kobe that green light in the first place....

Even if you take away the pacers series, that's 4-2 vs 3-4
Cause every other chucking ass 2-guard in the league coulda did what Kobe did playin along-side Shaq............ except for Iverson cause defense does count for something. Plus we judge Kobe by the Michael Jordan standard and bein the best player on your own team counts for something.

And when df did 26 & 10 on 63% shooting become being stopped???

I swear you Kobe stans don't even try to make sense.

You're comparing a 4 year stretch to a teams all time mark. Nobody has ever thought "I want to win a championship first and foremost so I'm gonna join the wizards". They have not been a championship contender for nearly 40 years. That's like a free agent in hockey deciding he's gonna sign with the islanders when they've won just a single playoff series from 1994 through today.
No one looks at what a team did when their grandparents were young as a measure of how that will affect them today.

That'd be like looking at Sears' lifetime record and deciding to start a career there today.

On the flip side, how many free agents are looking at all the Celtics and Lakers titles and going there? Cats look at the what's happened in the last few years, what they think will happen in the next few years, and think about what today looks like. All that other stuff is irrelevant. No one wanted to play with Kobe. No one wants to play with Russ. And of these young cats no one wants to go East.

No we do not, kobe at 21-22 was putting up superstar numbers in the Offs and good showings in the finals. Who's to say any of these nikkas would of done the same in his place. We judge kobe because when the lights shined bright he put on Great displays and is appreciated for it. He had his faults, but inspired many. Lebron up until his 3rd finals didn't even have a good showing and one of those series he should have won, was predicted to win(one of the few series he was predicted to win) with Prime Wade and bosh.

Give Kobe prime Wade and Bosh, and that team would be a mess because Kobe has NEVER co-existed with another high-usage perimeter player and doesn't have the game to do it.

Bibby-Kobe-Wade-Bosh-Joel Anthony in 2011. That team is awful inside, has no primary ballhandler, Kobe and Wade would have to take turns constantly, and Kobe in 2011 got completely owned and outplayed by Jason Terry in the WCSF, so why would he do any better in the Finals?

Chalmers-Kobe-Wade-Bosh-Haslem in 2012. That lineup might be even worse. You think they're taking out Boston, a team Kobe always underperformed against?

Chalmers-Ray-Kobe-Wade-Bosh in 2013. Hard to see how that even works. And with the main backups being Miller and Battier....well, at least they had Birdman as a backup big.

Chalmers-old Ray-Kobe-hurt Wade-Bosh in 2014. That team gets rolled bad by San Antonio, because the Spurs beat the Heat with incredible offensive efficiency, and with Kobe instead of Bron they would get mauled even worse.

Kobe would be lucky to pull ONE ring out of Bron's Heat teams.

And Lebron was 2-1 with prime Wade and Bosh. 2014 Wade was injured and ineffective, only averaged 16ppg on shytty shooting, he wasn't "prime Wade". Bosh was hurt and missed half the playoffs in 2012 too, but Bron won anyway. I don't know where the hell you got the bullshyt "2-4" from.
lol at Kobe winning 1 ring with Wade and bosh. Kobe 5-2 in the finals...enough said

The point is that wizards have 40 straight years of futility behind them and a bottom 3 all time general manager there. There is no valid reason to think they can be championship contenders.

fukk you mean "no we don't"? nikka all you fags try to elevate da nikka to Jordan status.

LeBron never had the luxury of not being the best player on a team, for the first half of Kobe's career he was a sidekick.

My point is when they both were the best player on their teams LeBron>>>>>Kobe. Period.

I've never in my existence claimed kobe>>>>Jordan. I actually watched Jordan play. Lebron had the luxury of playing with prime Wade and prime Bosh and choked away a series he was expected win, so remember when you bring up 2000 and 2004 that there's 2007 and 2011 as well. Lebron couldn't even be a proper sidekick to Wade in 2011 cause imo that was worst than both 2000 and 2004. Kobe was what? 20/21 in 2000, Lebron was 27 in 2011. Kobe actually shot the ball, albeit a bunch of bricks, but he attempted. Lebron? Disappeared in the finals as the greatest player on the world and better than every nikka on that Mavs team including flabby Jason Kidd, Jj Berra Jason terry and Dirk. It took 2 finals ass whooping and a bunch of playoff ass whoopings to even have a good series in 2012

When I bring up 2000 & 2004 he wasn't even the best player, which is my damn point. LeBron never had the luxury of not having a team's defense main focus be on him!

Kobe had about 6 or 7 years of having someone else be the main focal point.

And nikka how old was LeBron in 2007? Foh.

Da nikka had one bad Finals, 2011. I put that on par wit Kobe in 2004 AND 2008 blowin a 24 pt lead at home and then gettin his ass blown off the court by 39. Not to mention da nikka blowin a 3-1 series lead and quittin in a Game 7.

Man foh wit some damn Kobe Bryant.

Yeah because the East is garbage. LeBron is amazing, but if he were out West we wouldn't see 6 straight finals appearances

This years Cavs would've probably been the 6th seed in the West :yeshrug:

Lol at Kobe dragging a team with a crippled Bosh and Wade past the Celtics or OKC. Lebron's defensive versatility, efficiency, and rebounding were huge when Bosh went out. You lose all of that with Kobe replacing Bron.

Kobe lost with a Prime Shaq, Malone, and Peyton.

What playoff team in the West could you not add Lebron to and have them not be the scariest team out there?

And there's nothing anyone can do about it year after year.

Raptors are frauds. Celtics are frauds.
Everybody is too young and inexperienced. Or just not good enough

BRON BRON top 2 all time

Bragging about owning the East is like bragging about owning farmland in Chernobyl :laff:
