Well, that only stands to reason given the racial and political outlook (most importantly, the forum of the sport, itself) has decades of generational gaps. What resonates during Cap's time, doesn't quite now, and that's why you've got folks feeling some type of way to where they're giving him the 'old head treatment', especially when whatever criticism Cap throws out there often runs parallel to what the talking heads are saying.

I think the most unfortunate thing in all this is, how Cap has become an effigy (particularly on this board), specifically made by the Trojan Horse ass nxggas who're leaning so far to the right that they don't know what is up from down, that they have no other option to convince everyone they're fighting against Both Sides.

This nikka Screech got all the answers but no Coli ad money

I'm like this with ppl older than me too. Like I respect my elders and shyt but where does their respect end and where does mine begin. I'm 44 and I be damned if just because someone is older that they can just come with blatant disrespect because of it.

Wait for them to die or kill them.

It’s that simple.

You get a little older and sadly you realize that most old people are fukking haters.

Black man left his black wife in kids in the middle of the night, just to get his pockets ran by some trailer trash white bytch. But we suppose to give a fukk if he takes a photo op showing he did a good deed.
Habiba, his oldest, gave a rare interview recently:

Talks about how she and her siblings would spend the summers with their dad and then go back to their mom who was living more lower middle class life.

She went 4 years without talking to him, texted him we're done, he talked to her mom wondering what's going on, then got good with her by going to the premiere of her show. Now they're good. Talks about his health issues and how he now appreciates his family and actually having a family :wow:

Kareem's 75th BDay in April with his kids minus the youngest who's serving time for stabbing his neighbor over a trash dispute :wow:

Kareem and Tyson looking real different tho, they should have kept a low profile and rode off into the sunset on their legendary status.

Now u have Kareem writing a piece every week punching down at players in front of a cac audience.

Then u have Tyson who became a junkie, hangs around party cacs mistaking his drug induced thoughts as some philosophical intellectual awakening

Outside of sports media hungry for a story, nobody really f*ck with Kareem's bitter ass it seems.

That being said, Bron just playin' his cards right to recruit Kyrie :mjlol:
Kareem agrees with enis Kanter bytch traitor ass ..so he's been gotten the :camby: from me .

How you gon side with a guy who left his family in the hands of basically a dictator. All so he can "be free" and taunt the government of turkey...he's lucky his family weren't massacred. fukking Agent fukk him and Kareem and anyone who love them :pacspit:

Crazy how Kareem has slowly become a bad guy for doing the same thing he use to get praised for doing :dead:
Kareem use to be the anti-Jordan, willing to sacrifice favor with cacs and the media to speak truth to power. Now nikkas hate him for not having his head up these modern players asses :stopitslime: Now he's "bitter", that's the same trickology they pulled with Isiah
Unlike these new nikkas Kareem was doing activism when it wasn't a Nike check (no pun), branding, and PR attached to it. His outspokenness literally effected his legacy and this is the thanks he gets now :ohhh:

These dudes are lost. Unfortunately, the racist stereotypes of black men ring true on this site and in society at large. " if you want to hide something from a black man, you just put it in a book".

And knowing these clowns in here, they likely will downplay or denigrate Kareem’s work as an author bringing black historical truths about long forgotten people. At one point, being someone who brought truth to light about our experiences was valuable because we valued scholarship around our history. These Negroes in here value what’s visual and viral on social media. It’s a sad state of affairs with people can fake intellectual curiosity but think something is lacking because you won’t present to them what their fake curiosity didn’t trigger in them putting in work.
I was with y'all until these quotes. Nah can't agree with this shyt.

They have always done those things though. Kareem has always written pieces, and Tyson has never not given lengthy interviews. You may not have been aware of them, but they are there. All through late 80's and 90's Tyson would talk talk talk. It was a punchline for years from comedians. Neither were never gonna ride quietly off into the sunset. It's just in this social media age, things they say that would normally make no noise are now amplified for a few minutes.

Kareem as an elder, has always given a hard time to the young'ns. He and Magic were at odds initially, he was on MJs head too. Shaq as well. You can't expect him to not have done the same to Lebron.
