thing is when lebron left to miami it was arguably a better option short term and definitely long term than boston. similar circumstance when he left to cleveland after losing to the spurs. there wasnt a similar opportunity for kd where he could have a short and long term all star advantage over anyone unless he went to golden state.
the 73 win, 3-1 lead gets blown up here, but really if okc had lost in 6 or lost to the spurs in the prior round, there would still be a ton of negativity dumped on kd because of the general idea of taking the easy way out and the rich getting richer. im not penalizing lebron for something he didnt do, but i think he would have done the exact same thing if in a similar situation to kd of not having won a title and being 29. sometimes winning trumps pride.
