1. he played and won in a much more competitive era.
2. has 3 rings
3. was a better defender
4. was more clutch
5. had killer instinct/was more competitive

All the above arguments are proven correct. Get off LeBron's nuts.

He was not a better defender lmao, nor more clutch look at the stats. Things like killer instinct and competitiveness aren't quantifiable, they're all subjective.

Bird had a stacked team himself, with how many hall of famers? I think Lebron has surpassed him already and if theres some doubt of that now, it will be erased by the time he retires.

in his 2nd year? he led the team in every major category and was 2nd in assists. he was hands down the major component of the team. mchale was still a rookie and not much more than a roleplayer.

but are mchale and parish still multiple time champions if they don't play with larry?

Bird was a better defender...just as good if not better in steals....played the passing lanes well...blocked shots...great help defender

Killer instinct and competitiveness are the intangibles that Bird had in buckets that puts him over Bron. He talked mad shyt and backed it up and won. He was also a stone cold assassin.

Bird was more clutch. Period. He always took and made game-winning shots. Dude was a stone cold assassin. fukk ESPN's made up "clutch" stats.

Bird played in a way more competitive era (against the showtime Lakers, Jordan, Bad Boy Pistons, Dr. J, etc.) and became the best in the league.

Finally, Bird NEVER melted in the Finals like Bron did in 2011. That alone places him above Bron.

At 30 years old Lebron resume looks like this:

2x NBA Champ
2X Finals MVP
4x MVP
11x NBA All-Star
9x NBA First Team
5x NBA All Defense Second Team
NBA Scoring Champ
Cleveland Cavailers all time leading scorer despite leaving for four years
20th All Time Scoring Leader in NBA History
26th All Time Assist Leader in NBA History
34th All Time Steals Leader in NBA History
6th All Time NBA Playoff Scoring Leader in NBA History
15th All Time NBA Playoff Rebounding Leader in NBA History
4th All Time NBA Playoff Assist Leader in NBA History
6th All Time NBA Playoff Steals Leader in NBA History

A career regular season average of 24,6,6

A career playoff average of 28,8,6

And this just the short list :mjlol:

You nikkas is Lebron haters

Lebron Top 5 easily right now at 30

Lebron is 8-11 all time right now if he were to stop playing. To me he is sitting at 11.

So who your top 5? And where you place Bron? Regardless, when it's all said and done he will be top 5

:mjlol: at the bolded.

It's interchangeable, my top 5 is fluid to be honest, but these are a short list of players I'd rank over Lebron:

MJ
Kareem
Magic
Bird
Russell
Wilt
Oscar
Kobe
Shaq
Duncan

These are the types of players I'd say Lebron is more or less on par with:

Olajuwon
Drexler
Isaiah
etc.

I would say at this point Lebron is definitely top 25, after that it depends on what you look at. Here's my criteria:

Degree of difficulty faced
- E.g. the 80s NBA, the 90s Eastern Conference, and the '00s Western Conference were all full of GOAT type teams

Who didn't win because of them
-All the players I mentioned as being better than Lebron have HOF players who never won championships because of them, e.g.

Jordan - Malone, Stockton, Gary Payton, Ewing, Barkley, are all players who should have probably had rings

Kobe- Chris Webber, Allen Iverson, T-Mac, Dwight are all players who probably would have had rings

Lebron's list reading like Deshaun Stevenson and Gilbert Arenas :mjlol: :childplease:

Did they dominate at the highest level?
-All the players I mentioned have winning records in the finals, were the direct reason for those records, and were generally considered by the peers to be the best at the time. Can't say that for the King

:francis:

Would their squad be considered a GOAT squad?
-Everybody I mentioned were on teams that were arguably GOATs. Can we say that for the Heat?
:francis:

Did they dominate their position on the floor?
- Never a question in any situation Kobe was the best SG on the floor. I saw Iggy and Kawhi give 'Bron that work in the NBA finals 2x in a row. Let's be real, that wouldn't happen to Jordan, that wouldn't happen to Kobe, we already know Magic would have gotten busy :mjpls:

While stats are a factor, they don't tell the whole story. I don't use stats to compare different eras that much. I'm very sure if Bird or Dr. J played the point forward position their assists would be way up as well. HOpe that explains my position for you :obama:

If Lebron is top 5 on anyones list it is purely based on stats. Cause if you look at winning his resume is pretty pathetic. This includes that nightmare finals he had in 2011. That alone should bar him from top 5 consideration.
