LeBron has a higher 3 point percentage than Kobe, but i dont feel like that makes him a better shoot

You got to factor Kobe was known for taking the last shot during games which is usually a 3 pointer and Lebron is more known to pass.

Also Kobe usually tried to bail his team out with multiple 3’s when they were down. So you also got to factor that.

That's the problem with you Kobe stans you're basing who is better at what based on emotions. Kobe has a smoother J and it looks pretty. I even understand that he had a habit of shooting his way out of scoring slumps and that affected his percentages but Lebron was already a pretty good shooter coming in but he has worked on his midrange game to the point where is essentially unguardable within 18 feet and he is averaging well above league average from 3.

Half the guys on this site have never played basketball on a ten foot goal

We have literally watched teams back off of LeBron James and dare him to hit open 18 footers. Why would you solely use stats to compare him to a guy that defenses smother from everywhere

Coli opinions are usually opposite of the people who actually play against the players that these fat nerds discuss online
:dahell:

You mean rim:dame:

Teams back off Lebron and dare him to shoot because thats a better case scenario then him blowing past the defender and getting to the 'goal' :troll: and picking up and 1's :snoop:

Kobe just made it look better to be honest. Also, Kobe’s points looked more challenging because of his iso play style versus Lebron who gets his in the flow of the offence.

That said, Kobe has the scoring mentality. If I needed 25 in a quarter and I had to choose Kobe or Lebron to give it to me I’m gonna choose Kobe even though I think Lebron is the superior basketball player overall.

The coli tells me Kobe was money on those shots so if anything, those shots helped his percentages

Breh this is a prime example of where stat whores fails. Literally no NBA player would agree bron is a better shooter. That's just ridiculous. You cant use fg% to determine who shoots the ball better because 1) shot selection 2) defensive coverage 3)volume. Think about it like this. If both players were relegated to jumpshooting only, which would be the most effective. If you say bron you truly dont know the game.

I remember the spurs tried that in game 7 of the finals. Lebron killed they ass with the jumper :mjlol:

actually that's the correct strategy.

like, nobody ever went into a game and said "let's sag off Kobe"

But the Spurs did that to Lebron and it worked.

In 2007, he shot like 25% from midrange and three. Spurs gave him 5 feet of space to shoot. That was a winnable series despite the sweep.

in 2011, you know what the Mavs did...

in 2013, his jumper was straight garbage until Game 6. I think he was shooting 39% and 25% from three through the first few games. Why do you think Boris Diaw was having such great success?

in 2015, his jumper was yet again broken but i will give him a pass. no Kyrie or Love and he had a back injury
