I'm not advocating that it was.

Talk to the dumb ass fans who fault a player being stuck on a shytty team. But don't tell me that's how it didn't play out to most back then.

:wtf:

Naw, naw naw. You said Wade wasn't on Lebron's level prior to '10 FA and that all that Wade/Lebron being equals talk was deaded after 07. It never played out like how you imagined it did. How the hell does the ONLY player in the entire league, who statistically did more for his team (and had his best regular season) than Lebron did for his - not be his equal?

That doesn't make any sense.

I said the talk of him being on Bron's level wasn't didn't reappear until they joined forces.

That's exactly how that shyt played out on the old site.

Naw it didn't. I remember were folk were saying Wade should've won MVP in 09 and others were saying he had a valid case for MVP. And even the ones that didn't agree with that, still recognised Wade for what he was accomplishing with that squad. Are you gonna sit there and tell me that the majority of folk on the old site didn't have Wade and LeBron on the same level - when he was only player in the league to statistically outperform him? Like did they take ZERO notice when Wade led the league in scoring? Did they take ZERO notice Wade had more assists than LeBron?

this ties in with that other thread. Kobe has benefited the most from superstar teammates, management, and coaching more than anyone in the history of not only the NBA, but in sports total

No. This is the stan coming out of a good poster. Kobe has played with 2 superstars in his career, Shaq and Dwight. You don't have to bring up Kobe to defend LeBron. Then you went out of pocket and said in the history of sports. You're doing what those Peyton stans do in Pats threads right now.

Kobe had more superstar teammates than those La Liga and Premier League superteams? Those Lakers and Celtics teams? It goes on and on. He's not even close.

They always get out of hand when they want to prove their point. Cats love dealing in extremes.

Can you complain about The Kardashians? Sure...

Can you complain about the Kardashians while giving them Nielsen ratings in your living room? :rudy:

Yes. People do it all the time. bytching is part of the purpose of this site.

Why are you fronting like there wasn't a LOUD contingent saying he should have stayed in Cleveland to create his own legacy?

You CANT be serious.

95% of that contingency came from fans of teams LeBron wasn't gonna entertain signing with anyway.

wade played amazing, but people had lebron above him, still. hell, i remember people had kobe over wade that season (probably his stans mostly, but still). it's not about "no one noticing" or no one giving him props for what he did. that's a total strawman and you know it.

lebron led his team to 66 wins and balled his ass off in the playoffs. he won mvp, he was 1st team all-d, 1st team all nba. he had more success than wade that year. and if we're talking raw stats, then obviously wade had the ppg and apg advantage like you mentioned, while the advanced stats have bron ahead...plus he led his team in points, boards, assists, steals...

this isn't really revisionist history here. there are reasons that people had bron at the top of the heap in '09. wade was close, top 5, top 3, whatever. but i don't remember "the majority" of the old site having them as equals because they weren't...and people knew that. and that's not taking anything away from wade, cuz he had an outstanding year and people knew that, too.

Why do people only mention Wade's Finals run but never mention the fact that he also led a team to 15-67

"Bu...bu...but he only played 50 games".... so at best they were 15-35 with him

I've already addressed the discrepancy of their records been down to their squads. And Wade didn't ball his ass off in the playoffs too? He averaged 33.2 points on 56% shooting and 6.8 assists. Plus -

Explain to me this then:

Wade (08/09) - 30.2 PPG on 49% shooting, 5 RPG, 7.5 APG, 2.2 SPG and 1.3 BPG.

LeBron (08/09) - 28.4 PPG on 48% shooting, 7.6 RPG, 7.2 APG, 1.7 SPG and 1.1 BPG.

How was talks of them being EQUALS deaded after 07, when Wade put up his best season #'s in 09?

Homie said it best =

Prior to them joining forces, Wade and Bron were largely seen in the same way Durant and Bron were heading into the Finals last season...most would give the nod to Lebron as overall better player, but they were peers seen as roughly on the same level...and Wade was at worst considered the 3rd or 4th best player in the league...

They were roughly on the same level. Kobe, Wade and LeBron. Whether you had one ahead of the other(s) isn't the point.

And obviously you missed this post-

http://www.the-coli.com/coliseum/59425-remember-when-wade-being-better-than-kobe-debatable.html

I mean this thread is further proof that folk on :hamster: had LeBron and Wade on the same level.

If folk were discussing Wade being better than Kobe (the last seasons before Wade joining with LeBron) - how the hell can Reb say that folk looked at Kobe/LeBron as the ONLY best wing players in the league?

That shyt doesn't add up.

Because of Kobe's 2005 season.
