North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Not gonna lie. I don’t do well with traditional school structure. I signed up but abandoned it after 2 days. Python seems pretty str8 forward. I’m learning thru google and YouTube.

All I need to know is what parts of code represent (strings, functions, variables etc.) what tools you need to put it all together, and how it all connects.

I’m gonna start by building a software program for my job and go from there. That’s how I learned Access and MySQL.

Just started day 1, a lot of similarities to bash scripting. Can already feel I will have to google everything since the course labs expect you to know things not taught in the course.

How many people here made it pass day 30? are there better courses about?

She will tell you about the things you don't know. And point you to links if you need them.

Day 2, and im wondering if anyone else has an issue with the codingrooms not counting the code even though the results are the same as the example?

My experience with systems like that is that your output has to be an exact match. Check for leading and trailing whitespace in your output.

Questions, fellas:

For those of you learning Python, is it to get on with a tech company as a(n entry-level) programmer? And if so (or if not), i imagine they'd want someone with an educational background in something related, like computer science and not just an online/udemy python cert?

I ask because i have interest in learning Python, but moreso for the data analytics/machine learning aspect. I wouldn't mind being adept at the programming side as well (not sure if it's separate or part of the package) but i'd want to know the market for someone who did become adept/skilled at the programming side but didn't have prior background/experience with it.

Slept on this but I’m gonna start in July. I already have some SQL exp so I think it’d make sense to deepen my knowledge of SQL and pick up another technical skill.
