Also the only game she made was a game called ValiDate where you get to date black singles in the game.

The only straight black male character you can select has 3 BM's and works at Popeyes. I purchased the game on steam and refunded as soon as I ran into that text.

Being afraid of upsetting white people's feelings shouldn't be a priority. For all we know she might've asked EA first and they gave her the green light to do so in the first place. Her coming on video expressing her desire to hire only Black people could be after the fact.

In certain situations, sometimes one has to take a chance especially if it's about something important or special to them. She felt it was necessary to hire only Black devs, etc to help with the game likely because of the cultural theme of Black Panther.

Stop suppressing yourself in life just to not ruffle white people's feathers.

Contrary to popular belief, all you're just doing is giving them more control over you and your life (thought process and feelings included), than you tend to believe. Just imagine how many white people out there whose egos get bigger knowing that some Black person at their workplace or wherever is submitting to them and their feelings/ideas because of fear.

From my perspective, the biggest problem is that she is too overt with the play.

other groups do the EXACT same thing. However they disguise it well enough to not garner obvious scrutiny

I’m not bout to play no gay dating simulator to find out, but it seems all the characters are exaggerated stereotypes shyt. It’s not a serious game.

But beyond that, She got the job on Black Panther specifically due to her writing and management in this game and others and her advocacy for minorities in the industry.

TLDR (thanks u/Golden_Shart) She was the lead on an independent game called ValiDate and gave this interview three years ago. She‘s not a lead but an entry-level associate for Black Panther with no say in hiring. We shouldn't shift blame to the studio when the lie about her being “lead dev” was likely an attempt by racists to sabotage BP.
