Lavar might of been what the game is missing......:salute:

I expect Nike better fire that exec

He said the wrong thing and you can't make mainstream money if you say the wrong thing :hubie:

I don't like this dude...but fukk nike.:pacspit:
their response to him was some completely racist slave owner shyt
nikkas dikkriding nike not seeing the bigger picture:mjgrin:

sure there was ewing and starbury in the past but those are completely different eras, no internet.. its a lot easier to market and gain information as well as get your product to the people etc etc etc:mjgrin:

:rudy: uhhhhhh nah. every interview i read or saw on TV when they asked kids about starbury's they gave the same response

it didn't matter how much the shoes cost or what the cause was, or even the material it was made out of: Nike was always gonna come out on top b/c of the culture

this was the KIDS/TEENAGERS saying this.

Nike will never fall off, but they don't have to be on some slave driver shyt :pacspit:

And if he doesnt get a good deal.. his sons gonna be 'Next' on that Starbury line.

And he'll still have lowball $10-15 mil to live off of. If he's one of the biggest busts in league history and is out of the league in a few seasons he'll still be set for life as long as he doesn't spend like a jerkoff. If he pans out and is a stud in the league this could turn into a buyout situation, or worst case he signs with Nike or Adidas a few seasons in for a few million a year anyway. It's a no lose situation. I can't stand Lavar but I respect what he's trying to do here.

I see what you're saying breh, and no disrespect, but I think he's going at it the wrong way. Just my opinion.

You can't alienate the biggest corporation when you're trying to jumpstart your own shyt. That's all I'm saying. WSPECIALLY considering Nike has interest in your son.

Read his comments, The Shift :wow: @PhonZhi people waking up. You can't deny the historical aspect of what he said. Also if more athletes do this, NIKE market share decreases which decreases shares. Adidas & UA growing also

Players rather go the safe route and deal with these white corporations. If you can look past the antics what he is about to do is really groundbreaking.

It take just one black business with the blueprint before all other black athletes follow suit. Nike, Addidas, etc are terrified of this man.

Think about it, Nike Addidas etc will sign 100% of every future black superstar athlete.

BBB is the beginning of their demise. :wow:

Umm chill i was with u through the first few lines

:russ:

But the philosophy of it like another breh in here said is more dangerous than the act. Its like when slave owners hear a slave talking about a revolt so they string him up in front of everybody and beat him to a pulp to kill the idea for the others.

Lavar going at it in the wild way but in this internet age it gets views and likes. I pray lonzo has a healthy first few years or he going to be rockin some pro keds

He can, because if his son pans out and he alienates Nike he can just go with Adidas or Under Armour if BBB fails :yeshrug:

Pretty much. Dudes here are talking about engineering shows like they're building a rocketship. Like they don't make these shoes in sweatshops.

Take that rookie contract money and then get people to design shoes. And then you can sell them on the internet. I think Nike is scared

A ton of cats don't understand creative destruction.

If I was on Nikes board or held A shares in Nike, I would be seriously worried. A company worth over 92 Billion dollars is taking time to focus on a man that doesnt even have a product yet. Just a concept!

Simple means they see what the future could be and there whole basketball divison could take a serious hit in the next ten years.

I hope Lavar and his son do well, and take Nike down a notch. It only takes one successful brother to build and market his own product and other will follow. Win win to me more money for brothers and sisters.

well for one starburys were priced at like $10 so they had a bad perception from the jump

if steph can have kids rocking ugly ass under armor sneakers that outsold literally every nike signature shoe not named jordan in 2016, then anything is possible especially if lonzo becomes a superstar and his shoes actually look good
