nikkas dikkriding nike not seeing the bigger picture
sure there was ewing and starbury in the past but those are completely different eras, no internet.. its a lot easier to market and gain information as well as get your product to the people etc etc etc![]()
And if he doesnt get a good deal.. his sons gonna be 'Next' on that Starbury line.
And he'll still have lowball $10-15 mil to live off of. If he's one of the biggest busts in league history and is out of the league in a few seasons he'll still be set for life as long as he doesn't spend like a jerkoff. If he pans out and is a stud in the league this could turn into a buyout situation, or worst case he signs with Nike or Adidas a few seasons in for a few million a year anyway. It's a no lose situation. I can't stand Lavar but I respect what he's trying to do here.
Players rather go the safe route and deal with these white corporations. If you can look past the antics what he is about to do is really groundbreaking.
It take just one black business with the blueprint before all other black athletes follow suit. Nike, Addidas, etc are terrified of this man.
Think about it, Nike Addidas etc will sign 100% of every future black superstar athlete.
BBB is the beginning of their demise.![]()
I see what you're saying breh, and no disrespect, but I think he's going at it the wrong way. Just my opinion.
You can't alienate the biggest corporation when you're trying to jumpstart your own shyt. That's all I'm saying. WSPECIALLY considering Nike has interest in your son.
Pretty much. Dudes here are talking about engineering shows like they're building a rocketship. Like they don't make these shoes in sweatshops.
Take that rookie contract money and then get people to design shoes. And then you can sell them on the internet. I think Nike is scared
If BBB succeeds it will create an awfully scary precedent. More top athletes start going indie and these brands begin losing star power.
well for one starburys were priced at like $10 so they had a bad perception from the jumpI don't like this dude...but fukk nike.
their response to him was some completely racist slave owner shyt
uhhhhhh nah. every interview i read or saw on TV when they asked kids about starbury's they gave the same response
it didn't matter how much the shoes cost or what the cause was, or even the material it was made out of: Nike was always gonna come out on top b/c of the culture
this was the KIDS/TEENAGERS saying this.
Nike will never fall off, but they don't have to be on some slave driver shyt![]()
