They're considered reggaeton. While you could say their singing falls under the "R&B" umbrella, that's a slipper slope because then you could also include a ton of pop musicians.

If you're Russian, Chilean or Japanese, you're likely going to want a local version in your language of what is popular everywhere else.

I never really thought of foreign versions of American music as "stealing" really
