Add Jamaicans and AAs onto the list too. Haitians get shytted by them too in Miami/central Florida. They were called roaches and were crucified in school by all that roasting they had to endured on the way how they dress , not getting any line ups , being poor and how they do voodoo and shyt etc etc...

I seen the same shyt happen in NY as a kid. shytting on Haitians like we grew up any better. It had nothing to do with Dominicans getting at them. Everybody was. It was kinda like calling someone a fakkit. They're not really gay. You just trying to shyt on them. You call them a Haitian. Even worse, if they really are Haitian. Luckily I got older and wiser.
There's a Haitian family on my block that always adopting Haitian kids. Growing up with them I became cool with a lot of them dudes. They're some of the coolest people I know. I got mad love for them. So even tho I do I hear people talk shyt about them, I shut that shyt down and educate them on what I know

Either you work to bring your family over or you're working to make enough money in America that'll have you living like a king back in DR.

My pops did both. Worked for 5 years to bring my fam over. 2 years ago he finally got his retirement pension to where he's getting checks from 2 countries and living in a house he built from the ground up. My mom is gonna rejoin him for good in a couple of months.

Once wintertime hits, any old DR head tries to get the hell outta the Northeast and go back to either DR or Miami

Nowadays the successful young Dominicans tend to be born here or spend the bulk of their formative years here so they're not as inclined to move back.

Spoke to a friend today who just got back from DR. She said some of what's eco in this thread. She saw a pretty young girl with this 50 pushing 60something year old kak who was chubby and wobbled. The girl was walking with this man with her head down(seems like out of embarrassment).

I know quite a few. My grandparents moved back. My paternal father is moving back soon. My step pops is dying for my sister to finish school so he can move back. And I got a couple uncles my age who are thinking about moving as well

My parents are moving back to Haiti. Fact is a lot of immigrants as they get older and worked paycheck to paycheck won't have much to retire on BUT if you getting $1K from social security and you have your house on the island. You will live like a king instead of here where you will struggle.

Yeah but at the same time, you, as a black man, go into those type of Eastern Bloc countries, those skinheads will make it known that black men with their women aren't welcome. Attacks on black men were more prevalent in the 90's and early 00's. Nigerians and Africans were always attacked. I've never heard of white men getting attacked SOLELY because he was with a black woman in black countries. Chinese are knocking up Ugandan women and taking the land and seems to be no backlash. White males can walk freely in those poor black countries with no resentment with women throwing themselves to them. Black men go to eastern bloc countries and might end up in a fight. Greece wasnt an Eastern Bloc country but you know of that thread where the college dude was killed by Serbs because he was with a ww.
