Julius about to get at least 15 mil a year when he opts out, I think Dallas goes for him as a local kid and because as I use to say here he could work around KP in the front court on offense/defense.

For the knicks one of Markieff or Marcus Morris make more sense, Some toughness, and undervalued because of their tendency to get in trouble together. Markieff took a minimum to join OKC, Marcus took 5 mil for Boston. The 5 Mil MLE should be enough for either of them at this point.

Kyrie
RJ
KD
Markieff or Marcus
Mitch

The bench needs to all play reliable Defense and shoot the 3. So the stars can be subbed out and the offense can still work and defense could be played all game.

Bench
Frank
DSJ
Dotson
Knox
Mario

Also I would take a flyer and see if Kyle O'Quinn would come back. We're a better team and he would get legit minutes here as a backup to mitch.
My thoughts exactly. If AD goes to say LA or Boston, we have an AD stopper in Mitch but now we have KD and Kyrie and then we have ISO ZO who will benefit off this tremendously and then we have Knox who wants to play like KD and will train to be great like him but also has the athleticism. Ideally, I'd like to have mentor/proteges in AD/Mitch, KD/Knox but if not and I had to choose...it would be KD and a cheaper PF since Mitch is improving at a faster rate. It's all about the short term/long term and not just the short term. If we got them out, we're fukking up our long term prospects.

What killed Boston is Hayward. We have Mitch/Knox/Hezonja/Trier/Dotson/DJ/DSJ who are better work horses than Hayward/Horford/Brown. We not even thinking about Tatum because KD is better and Knox trained by KD will be better. I really really wanna see what Knox and KD on the same team looks like or DSJ and Kyrie.

Just some randomness from the twitter sphere

RJ Barrett is the third pick in the draft guaranteed (barring the Grizzlies changing course on Morant), but I think it's absolutely worth finding out what teams would offer to get into that third slot for him. It's on a "no stone left unturned" tip. You don't have to make the trade to find out what's being offered.

This is in the "highly unlikely but fun to think about" category. Jrue/Dot/KD/AD/Mitch in this miracle scenario would be a line-up that I bet could attract ring chasers.

Last one and I just like how complimentary Rozier is about the Knicks, the city and most importantly the organization. This could just be an FA angling, but it seemed sincere with how quickly he responded and the smirk. I think most fans feel like the new management crew has turned a corner for us and brought back respectability, Rozier's comments reinforce that for me.

Meh I see no reason to explore trading the pick unless you think it’s a weak ass class . If you think RJ is a superstar talent you just draft him that’s it . Don’t be cute

I really like that look. RJ, either Morris and Mitch is a lot of physicality (and trash talk) while Kyrie and KD add the finesse. The bench could probably use another defensive presence would be my one critique but I think that team could attract a ring chaser or two for even more depth.

The number one picker has no pressure but is `forced' to pick Zion.

The number two slot has the most indecision and risk of picking incorrectly.

We, at three, have it easy....we take who is left and may still end up with the best selection.

However, we could inadvisably get fancy and trade down or away the pick...unlikely though.

We'd have better odds in not picking RJ. I just don't trust his style with our composition. I think Cam, Nassir or Culver would help guys like Trier and Knox out a lot better as they provide better flow with the ball movement. KD, Knox, Mitch, Trier and Kyrie could be our scorers while our draft pick, a Morris brother, Hezonja, Dennis and DJ could be our facilitators. Think Detroit when Chuck, Rip, and Prince played. A combo of Morris and Mitch could be our Ben Wallace while KD and Kyrie could be our Rip and Chuck, Now Knox, Hezonja and DSJ could be our Prince. Now, I'd either use Frank as a Bruce Bowen guy until he finds himself or waive him for chicken scraps tbh.

Maybe Danny Green would come but I doubt it since how could the Knicks afford him if they went after a Morris brother? I mean if Kawhi leaves then yeah I doubt he stays in Toronto but it’s hard to say.

To add another player we would have to likely start trading youth to match salaries. Also Frank and Dotson have defensive potential they could focus on with that roster. There is a legit case that RJ potentially could come off the bench and just be the bench offense with either Dotson or Frank being a 3&D starter.

Man I disagree I think RJ has the most potential of all the youth on the roster and they should be looked at how they work with/around him.

I kind of agree.

I'm starting to feel a way about RJ.

Now, of course, in the grand scheme of things, that doesn't mean shyt, but, he's had a lot of solid talk about him.

He's not a question mark at all.

Pick RJ and tie his left hand behind his back and make him finish with his right for the entire summer. He’s a one handed bandit and that should be the first thing he works on.

His shooting can improve because that’s almost a given in this league. I’m more worried about him finishing at the rim and only using his left.

I look at this as them going to Memphis. People really forget they have the worse contract on their books (until John Wall 2020) in Chandler Parsons.

They could move that contract for some decent role players and still get a good PG at 5 in Coby White or Garland and come away with a Cavs future first. I trust nothing said pre draft and assume everyone wants to screw the Knicks.

Even getting Ja while great then means the Knicks got to trade either Ja or DSJ A$AP if Kyrie is coming. You got to plan for that, or you’ll get robbed.

Also let’s take a second to really recognize that basketball media has giving Parsons so many excuses for robbing so many franchises which is bullshyt but we know why......
