I’m Gonna Be A Nervous Wreck All Lottery Day, We Don’t Get Number 1 Y’all Might Have To Talk Me Off The Ledge Literally

Outside Of Sports I Can Say My Life Is Pretty Great But Just Thinking Of The Knicks And I Get An Ulcer

Suns Had The #1 Pick Last Year, Cavs Always Getting Top 3 Picks, I’m Gonna fukking Lose It If We Drop To Them

Breh I agree the Knicks have consistently been the most dysfunctional aspect of my life. I don’t spaz online about anything but this damn team.
:mjgrin:Just come over on the day of the lottery, breh. I’ll order some sushi and we can smoke and kick it. Wear something comfortable, too.

I'll be honest, even if we fall to two it's ok cause in my head I have the scenario where we take Ja at 2 and package Ja + Frank/DSJ + Knox + our 2021 1st (unprotected) for AD.

Weird lottery quirk: If we survive the 48% odds at picking 5th, we have better odds (not by much to be fair but better) of getting the 1st pick than 2,3 or 4. It won't make the lottery any less stressful for me, but just an interesting bit that I didn't think about until a convo with a couple of the Knicks heads at the KFS meet up (knicks content creator name drop Tray from Terry and Tray mentioned it and their content is fire if yall haven't given them a look).

By 2021, I wouldn't trade Knox for AD. This would be a Melo move all over again especially when Knox gets nice. A 6'9 SF at 19 still growing and with a good jumper, that's stupid bruh, no disrespect.

Might just be me but I see Knox's ceiling as a MAYBE 19-21 PPG player + 7-8 boards per game. If you like Rudy Gay, you'll like Knox. To me that's nothing to write home/cry about but :manny:

I see him as a Jamal Crawford type player but at his worse Channing Frye.

Gay has a huge 7’3 wingspan, more athleticism, and better in the midpost, better handles, and better defensively.

Knox is the better pure shooter. Gay is more of a ball stopper while Knox is a quick trigger chuck. Honestly they’re not that similar other than position, height, and motor concerns.

If we get Durant what will we do with Knox?

How will he fit?

Crawford?

Nah, no way Knox looks like he would be trending toward an effortless ballhandler/playmaker like Crawford. I see Knox being a playmaker in the vein of Rudy Gay as well; a player who learns to create his shot but you can see he doesn't make it look like it's easy.

Melo was another playmaker who was a superb shot creator but you'd see how fukking hard he worked in the way he moved. I'd like to see Knox get a little more weight in his legs and chest and looking to draw contact.

Although Knox has definitely looked more comfortable near the end of the season, he still looks as awkward as Porzingis looks when he moves. I sometimes feel uneasy watching him play because it's like his body is flowing unnaturally and prone for injury.

It's crazy because Mitch Robinson actually moves more comfortably when he's on the court and we call him milk and cookies because of his awkwardness.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Speaking of Money Making Mitch, I am so in love with my son, it's crazy. I feel like we are all proud parents of this kid. Again, fukk KP for his bytch ass brother, the fact that the world will never see Mitch and KP as the New York twin towers is crazy....

It almost makes me want to get hype about Bol Bol.

@storyteller @Wargames @Derek Lee and others... Considering the potential Dallas picks, is there a scenario where before any trades, the Knicks would be able to get a top 5 AND a top 10 pick?

I still don't fully understand the conditions on the Dallas picks and how, if at all, they can translate to the dallas pick)s) for this upcoming draft.

I guess what I'm asking is... It there any possibility that at the start of the 2020 season, our lineup could be...

Ja Morant, Dotson, Knox, Bol Bol and Mitch Robinson?

or, maybe even,

Ja Morant, Dotson, Knox, Rui Hachimura and Mitch Robinson

or, out of respect for Story - DSJ, Culver, Knox, Rui Hachimura, Mitch

Wouldn't trade any of those Dallas picks for anybody in this draft.
Okay, see, thank you. I am completely aloof regarding whether any of the Dallas picks can manifest itself as a pick for this current draft.

I'm getting the feeling that the Dallas picks, at the earliest, have no way of vesting this year, right?

Knox will be a great value Durant transitioning into him hopefully.
