I need thoughts from all of my Coli brehs...

Try to keep the format(not necessary but appreciated)(Also, all questions do not have do be answered, just the ones you're compelled to answer:

  1. If you could describe this season in 5 words or less:

  2. What was one of your favorite moments of the season:

  3. Are you feelings on Knox similar, worse or better than the beginning of the season(post summer league):

  4. Would you be willing to give Frank Ntlikina one more season to develop:

  5. Morant, Barret or other if we don't get no. 1 pick:

  6. What is the one thing that you DO NOT want to see moving into the start of next season:

  7. Will next season be the first season in years where it's okay to root for wins every game:

  8. Disregarding salary implications, if you could override salary cap, which of our free agent players would you love to keep?
  9. [Trigger Warning Question] Would you, if he were on board with a limited bench role, welcome Carmelo Anthony back on the team for a retirement year:

Try to keep the format(not necessary but appreciated)(Also, all questions do not have do be answered, just the ones you're compelled to answer:

  1. If you could describe this season in 5 words or less: Pain is weakness leaving body :francis:

  2. What was one of your favorite moments of the season: Frank Ntilikina showing his potential against the Warriors.

  3. Are you feelings on Knox similar, worse or better than the beginning of the season(post summer league): My feelings are a bit lower than at the beginning of the season; however, after a large portion of time feeling worried, I am in a positive space regarding his development and development.

  4. Would you be willing to give Frank Ntlikina one more season to develop: I'm absolutely, unhesitatingly and un-apologetically ready to give Frank another season.

  5. Morant, Barret or other if we don't get no. 1 pick: *Sings* "Ja, Ja, Jaaaaa, Ja, Ja Morant... you've got the Mecca rockin' and a-rollin' Ja Morant!"

  6. What is the one thing that you DO NOT want to see moving into the start of next season: I DO NOT want to see Jimmy Butler on the New York Knicks.

  7. Will next season be the first season in years where it's okay to root for wins every game: I fukking hope so. I'm tired of feeling guilty and getting passing aggressive replies to my fatigue of "tanking".
  8. Disregarding salary implications, if you could override salary cap, which of our free agent players would you love to keep? Deandre Jordan, Mario Hezonja and Vonleh. I actually do want to say Mudiay as well but that'll do more harm than good to the rest of our roster considering how Fiz favors him.
  9. [Trigger Warning Question] Would you, if he were on board with a limited bench role, welcome Carmelo Anthony back on the team for a retirement year: Man...I'd go out and buy his jersey the day of the press conference. Hell fukking yes.

@Cory MBA Dap + rep breh. Add the trigger warning question, too!

  1. If you could describe this season in 5 words or less:
    Not as expected.
  2. What was one of your favorite moments of the season:
The youth squad that balled in the late oct early nov; Frank, Tim, Dot, Vonleh, Mitch.
  3. Are you feelings on Knox similar, worse or better than the beginning of the season(post summer league):
Worse, but he’s young and the development from the staff is subpar.
  4. Would you be willing to give Frank Ntlikina one more season to develop:
Now, you already know the answer to that question. But only if they truly gonna give him a shot, let him play point, no short leash, get a mentor, and go all in on him. Otherwise trade him and let him shine elsewhere, preferably the Spurs or Nets.
  5. Morant, Barret or other if we don't get no. 1 pick:
    N/A
  6. What is the one thing that you DO NOT want to see moving into the start of next season:
    Favoritism from coaching and management.
  7. Will next season be the first season in years where it's okay to root for wins every game:
Yes, they’ve got the picks and youth already. It’s time to develop and build.
  8. Disregarding salary implications, if you could override salary cap, which of our free agent players would you love to keep? Don’t know who’s on the chopping block.
  9. [Trigger Warning Question] Would you, if he were on board with a limited bench role, welcome Carmelo Anthony back on the team for a retirement year: Yes, if he ain’t gonna get a ring let my guy go out respectfully. The league doing him dirty.

Try to keep the format(not necessary but appreciated)(Also, all questions do not have do be answered, just the ones you're compelled to answer:

  1. If you could describe this season in 5 words or less: Painful, but necessary.
  2. What was one of your favorite moments of the season: Hezonja block on Bron to end the game.

  3. Are you feelings on Knox similar, worse or better than the beginning of the season(post summer league): Worse. He's got a super low floor, because if he's not scoring efficiently, he's not filling up the box score (rebounding, passing, defense, etc). Only 19 though.
  4. Would you be willing to give Frank Ntlikina one more season to develop: Yes, because NY getting nothing for him at his lowest value, but if a team wants him in trade package for a star or draft pick, he can go.

  5. Morant, Barret or other if we don't get no. 1 pick: Morant. Try to trade for Beal if pick outside of top three.

  6. What is the one thing that you DO NOT want to see moving into the start of next season: Paying the max for second tier free agents like Tobias Harris and Khris Middleton.

  7. Will next season be the first season in years where it's okay to root for wins every game: If they sign KD/sidekick, sure. If the Knicks strikeout on free agents, as long as the younger players show signs of growth and the coach can instill in this team some semblance of identity on offense/defense, that'd be cool.
  8. Disregarding salary implications, if you could override salary cap, which of our free agent players would you love to keep? Vonleh, Hezonja and Kornet

  1. If you could describe this season in 5 words or less: They never quit. They're fighters.

  2. What was one of your favorite moments of the season: Lakers win at the Garden. 1b. Knox on Simmons. Side note, fukk Optimum, missed almost two months of the season because they didn't know how to diagnose internet problems.
  3. Are you feelings on Knox similar, worse or better than the beginning of the season(post summer league): Better, he never hid and seemed to go through the normal ups and downs. We need vets on the team to help mentor him and

  4. Would you be willing to give Frank Ntlikina one more season to develop: Yes, with a more clear plan.

  5. Morant, Barret or other if we don't get no. 1 pick: Morant

  6. What is the one thing that you DO NOT want to see moving into the start of next season: Fizdale hands off coaching, was hoping there was more control over the development of the young boys, particularly figuring out Frank.

  7. Will next season be the first season in years where it's okay to root for wins every game: Next season will be a honeymoon period imo if everything goes as planned. If it doesn't it will be ugly.

1. :trash:

2. The best game was probably that game where we handled the Spurs and Mitch, DSJ, Knox, Dotson, Mudiay balled out.

3. Similar. I think he’s a work in progress needs to get stronger, work on his touch on lay-ups, improve his playmaking instincts and shot selection, work on his defense. I see a lot of potential with his shooting stroke, his solid athleticism, his length, his floater is unique, and he’s a solid defensive rebounder, I like his ability to play off screens. I think he’ll be a good player, he can be a 20/7 guy. I don’t know what we’ll do with him if we do get Durant.

4. I’d let him finish his rookie contract but if we could get a late first round pick for him this draft I would be willing to trade him. The hope is he comes back even stronger and a better shooter next year with a more aggressive mentality. A solid NBA player may be in him but as of now he is one of the worst players in the league.

5. I’d go with Barrett. Morant is good but he monopolized the ball at Murray State and his jumper needs a lil work. He was basically college basketball’s Russell Westbrook. Also, we have DSJ. I’d prefer Barrett but I would welcome Morant.

Knox and Barrett would be chucking everything though. :dead:

6. If he’s still here Ntlikina telegraphing P&R passes, bricking wide open shots, being in foul trouble every game, not penetrating the defense, standing in the corners, not finishing or driving aggressively and missing lay-ups.

7. I hope. :mjcry:

8. Hezonja and Vonleh have good potential as role players.

9. If we really do get those two max FA’s+Zion/Morant/Barrett. I wouldn’t mind Melo as a stretch 4 off the bench.

Aye brehs regarding the work to put in for an offseason thread...

I wanted it one way, but my motivation showed it was another way. :wow:

This will stay up as the offseason thread but the below spoiler will be the rebranded intro post of this thread:

Hope y'all get a little laugh out of it. :salute:

EXCERPT FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING AUTHOR @storyteller 's HISTORICAL ACCOUNT OF THE WAR ON THE MECCA
531a6a8735477.image.jpg

November 1941 - WAR ON NEW YORK IS DECLARED!

Where were you? A year later, after all of the carnage and loss of life, the question still triggers sharp feelings of despair and fright among the tormented population of the North Knickshton. An experience which began with much optimism and peace and which ended with a fire of the last bullet, the dropping of the last bomb and the falling of the last brick.

Sad story? Far from it. As resilient as a people can be, they stand tall - bloodied and scarred - but tools in hand, resources replenished and finances regained to rebuild above the rubble where a great Garden once stood. They vow to rebuild the Mecca.

[Photo: A young Kristaps Porzingis listening to news of WAR in his NYC residence. Tragically, this is the last known photo before the infamous Maverick Cuban Nuclear Missile v.13 dropped and decimated every home and structure in the ground zero which included Madison Square Garden. Most experts believe the blast would have disintegrated Kristaps Porzingis as the only thing recovered under the debris was a plastic knee ligament suspected of coming from the young child's surgically repaired ACL.]

December 5, 1941 - The Quiet Before the Storm

Before the tanks truly rolled into the streets of Knickshton, this humble nation enjoyed the small moments of joy from news abroad where their soldiers, in uniform, fought to drive away the axis forces of hate attempting to shake the very foundation of a population who have learned to become hardened and strong after decades of struggle and impoverishment.

[Photo: A bustling city, optimistic populace and a symbol and structure of a proud people, the Garden as it stood before the Coli/Media Axis Air Raids]

February 1, 1942 - Cataclysm and Carnage

Unable to keep the enemy at bay, the onslaught of air raids caused little damage; the will of the nation was strong. On one ominous afternoon, Axis pilot, Adrian Wojnarowski, was tasked with the convert mission to obtain optimal position and release a single nuclear payload that caused a major shift in the War. That tragic mission was accomplished.

[Recovered footage: War correspondents Walt Frazier and Mike Breen, while in the middle of a routine report of the street side battle, happened to be the lucky, or unlucky reporters who captured the moment of impact of the Maverick Cuban Nuclear Missle v.13]

June, 1942 - The Silver Lining of Destruction's Glove

Amidst the smoke and fields of fire, hope and potential appeared to hang by the thread of a ripped jersey. Prime Minister Scott Perry was rumored to be preparing a surrender speech to be read the 82nd night of fighting when news broke of reports of various military and political victories in and around the nation.

Medal of Honor recipient Mitch "Milk and Cookies" Robinson single handedly blocked waves of enemy fighter jets from causing more damage to the war-torn cities. Military general Janis Porzingis was discovered to have been leaking top secret military secrets to the enemy and was placed on trial where he was convicted of violating various "fukk nikka" statutes. Credible reports of a surplus of additional military resources totaling $71 million, the rumors of potential military relief from the nations of Durant and Irvington, as well as potential development of the powerful Draft Lottery Uraniam 235 ICBM ended the fighting when, in response, the enemy retreated and called off their attack.

The Knickshton populace rejoiced in the ravaged streets, looked toward the future and promised to rebuild and enact revenge on every enemy nation that attempted to drive Knickerbockers into the sea.

We...

Will...

Rebuild...:wow:

What was once a dream, to experience the era of Knickshton greatness told in the stories from the fathers of this great nation, will be enjoyed by the survivors of this carnage.

That day will be soon. And, in the future, when asked about "where were you?", it won't bring feelings of sadness; it'll bring feelings of pride.
