Okay, see, thank you. I am completely aloof regarding whether any of the Dallas picks can manifest itself as a pick for this current draft.

I'm getting the feeling that the Dallas picks, at the earliest, have no way of vesting this year, right?
Correct, the earliest a Dallas pick can convey is 2020.

Crawford?

Nah, no way Knox looks like he would be trending toward an effortless ballhandler/playmaker like Crawford. I see Knox being a playmaker in the vein of Rudy Gay as well; a player who learns to create his shot but you can see he doesn't make it look like it's easy.

Melo was another playmaker who was a superb shot creator but you'd see how fukking hard he worked in the way he moved. I'd like to see Knox get a little more weight in his legs and chest and looking to draw contact.

Although Knox has definitely looked more comfortable near the end of the season, he still looks as awkward as Porzingis looks when he moves. I sometimes feel uneasy watching him play because it's like his body is flowing unnaturally and prone for injury.

It's crazy because Mitch Robinson actually moves more comfortably when he's on the court and we call him milk and cookies because of his awkwardness.

Speaking of Money Making Mitch, I am so in love with my son, it's crazy. I feel like we are all proud parents of this kid. Again, fukk KP for his bytch ass brother, the fact that the world will never see Mitch and KP as the New York twin towers is crazy....

It almost makes me want to get hype about Bol Bol.

@storyteller @Wargames @Derek Lee and others... Considering the potential Dallas picks, is there a scenario where before any trades, the Knicks would be able to get a top 5 AND a top 10 pick?

I still don't fully understand the conditions on the Dallas picks and how, if at all, they can translate to the dallas pick)s) for this upcoming draft.

I guess what I'm asking is... It there any possibility that at the start of the 2020 season, our lineup could be...

Ja Morant, Dotson, Knox, Bol Bol and Mitch Robinson?

It’s complicated no matter what they have to give a pick to Atlanta first then we get Dallas pick two seasons later no stipulations and then two years after that we get the pick as long as it’s not a top #10z

Dallas is in a weird rebuild position. I don’t think they will get a legit marquee FA and they need to fill many holes on their roster at PG, SG, and Center. I could see them throwing the bag at Vucevic and that would still not be enough for them to be good next year. They desperately need to get a top 5 pick this year and draft one of Barret,Reddish, or Culver to be a swing man on the roster. No shyt I keep saying after us getting #1 we need them to fall the fukk out of top #5 to have a good draft. So Atlanta can get there pick this year and the Knicks can get that sweet, sweet 2021 NBA draft pick. That is the draft where the best prospects from basically 2021 and 2022 will be in one draft due to draft rules allowing High School seniors in the draft for the first time.

Where any of these picks land.... idk but we want Dallas our that top #5

or, maybe even,

Ja Morant, Dotson, Knox, Rui Hachimura and Mitch Robinson

or, out of respect for Story - DSJ, Culver, Knox, Rui Hachimura, Mitch

If there was a way to get Culver and either of Rui/Hunter; I'd come out of the draft pretty happy even though we missed out on Zion. Just to throw it in, Kevin Porter Jr has really intriguing attributes but he's not really my type of player. Bol Bol worries me injury wise, like this dude looks like rookie KP might push him around. But he's another one of those prospects that if he hits, you have an incredible weapon. Having interchangeable 3/4's with at least one being an intense defender to make up for Knox and his motor would be optimal in the multi-positional player era too. You'd need to bring in some elite shooting coaches to work with everyone to make that work though. Yall know how partial I am to defense and ball movement though. A lot of players need the ball to be effective, I think DSJ and Knox could be the ball dominant guys. Rui and Culver could feast off teams focusing on those two. Then Mitch would be a terror on both ends. Plus you give Frank another year to figure it out and potentially a rotation of DSJ/Culver/Rui/Knox/Mitch + Frank/Dot/Trier/Kornet probably isn't ready to win games next year but it would be a lot more fun than this year. More IQ and defense, less greedy play and enough ball handlers to make use of all the early screen action Fizdale utilized this season.

If we whiffed on FA's...I could live with that. Especially if we flipped the cap space for unwanted guys and more assets. Then the trade deadline would become really interesting with all of the options we'd have.

Wouldn’t it:sas2:

This either gonna be the greatest year for the Knicks in damn near 2 decades or they setting us up like Carrie. Pig blood sitting on top of the stage waiting for us to go up...
