I think a Kyrie + KD duo is the best duo in the East. Two elite scorers who have proven they can take over on the biggest stage on the same team.
Combine that with the young talent you guys have (Mitchell Robinson, Trier, Knox, Dotson) and you guys will have a potential top 3 team in the East.

If Kawhi stays, then Kawhi+Siakam might be the best duo in the East next season.

To me it really doesn't matter. At best the Knicks have a 14% chance to get Zion no matter what they do. You can't make long term plans on something that has an 85% chance not to happen. They're so horrible they'll lose a bunch of games regardless so I'm not concerned about them falling out of the top 3

I still got Kyrie + KD. People keep forgetting how unstoppable Kyrie is in the playoffs. Each round he levels up and plays at his highest level on the only round that matters, the Finals.

Kawhi has proven to be a great playoff performer but Siakam still has to prove himself.

However, Siakam has a lot of potential. He will definitely be a perennial all star but will he be a superstar? Kyrie is a superstar and Durant is a superstar. Kawhi is also a superstar.

2 superstars vs. 1 superstar and potential all star.
