“I think he knows how to play the game. That’s the best thing, first of all. He’s a very cerebral basketball player. I think, defensively, he’s more advanced than offensively. But I think he’s getting better and better offensively as he’s gotten more opportunity and played more games.”
bron himself after they played in april a few times.
bron only suggested dsj cause that 1 healthy acl ass nikka was at his basketball camps a few years ago
bron didnt know he was a alive but was doing all that gesturing and posturing and flexing in front of him after he made those comments for no apparent reason right

I'm glad it's not just me. My eyes don't agree with what's being reported, but since the reports are based on things we don't get to see I can't call BS.

In that sleeper video @Wargames posted, around the 3 minute mark, was the hardest I’ve seen him move in a lot of the videos I’ve seen. If that’s what they saw in the workouts consistently than i won’t be mad at the pick.

He’s 18 so if he gets drafted by the Knicks it’s based mostly on potential and how he will compare to the other wings when he turns 20. Right now he more offensively gifted than both Miles and Mikal but lacks the intensity on defense and offense. I don’t know if that how he plays or how they wanted him to play at Kentucky. Maybe the coaching staff thinks they can mold his game to be more aggressive, and if they can we will potentially have a multiple all star forward for that next decade.

It’s a gamble they are willing to take based on what they see out of Mikal and Miles.

I don’t take too much stock in his Kentucky footage cause they basically played him at the 2 when he should have played the 4. The things that do give me pause is how he doesn’t even attack the basket that hard. I can understand if he was super crafty but you don’t even see that really. (The potential is there admittedly). I rather take Mikal who defensively is good already, can shoot and is versatile enough that he leaves your plans wide open for next summer and beyond.

Also there is no way I’m benching THJR for Frank. Ntilikina is coming off the bench and will be put into the defensive rotation. Hopefully he works on his game to become defensive minded off guard instead of a point guard. I don’t want to see him run another offensive set in my life. We all know he passes that ball only the Kyle O’Quinn when he attacks the basket.
There's no way? :beli:

The Knicks have great problems at 9 - As long as there is a solid reason/research behind the pick - there is very little "knicks were dumb" risk with most of the available prospects at 9.

Sexton at 9 would probably be the only "he'd better be good or I'm jumping off a building" pick.

I can't believe this Thursday is the moment of truth. :wow:

It'll sound crazy :whoa:but if Knicks were had a pick 3- 5: I'd be way more scared and uncomfortable.

Who wants to bet their future on Doncic, seriously, considering the available talent at 3 or 4? How do you say no to MPJ considering he was considered a shoe-in at No. 1 less than a year ago? Considering the high ceilings of the next tier of players, imagine picking Trae Young at 5 w/ a bunch of players realistically posing a "Donovan Mitchell" threat later in the draft? :lupe:

My point - Teams are going to have to pray to the basketball gods that they don't make a wrong decision considering potentially hidden landmines are at an all time high this lottery.

Again, you have the option to trade down(or is it up?lol), but, the pressure is immense.:damn:

We are in a really good position here. Let's feel good, brehs. :wow: Low key, the best position in this draft is Philly at 10 right now. They are in position to let whoever the BPA is drop to them and take him with low pressure.

----

On Frank Ntilikina :shaq2:

Brehs need to abandon the slander against Frank at this point. It's low key bizarre that the breh, the youngest player in the league, was just a bit timid out there. He has the dog in him as shown in his defense and his shooting stroke is solid. Fiz will give him more of a green light in his sophomore year - sit back and enjoy.

Still not convinced? If Knicks are down 1 and Frank get the ball in his hands for the open shot - don't tell me you are worried; he's NBA talent enough to take and make that shot. Is he a confident shot creator, not right now but that's what this year will be about?

Still not convinced? If the Knicks are looking for that clutch defensive stop - and Frank is playing D on the opposing Iso player - there is almost no other Sophomore you'd want on that star player.

The above is enough to but that tired Frank is trash shyt to bed.

Breh, not only is your shtick tired...but claiming a breh "big mad" for replying about Knicks players in a Knick thread is tired, too.

It doesn't take much to write text in response, he isn't big mad.

Where are you right now that on the eve of Frank's sophomore season, you're still mentioning Dennis Smith Jr's name in this thread? :manny:

I'm assuming you're considering Burke/THJ as the starting backcourt to which I would respectfully disagree. I think Burke and THJ are redundant somewhat. Both are better scorers than playmakers and more effective with the ball in hand than playing off-ball. With KP out, that's not as big a deal because they can take turns attacking theoretically, but it doesn't work long term imo. Now if you shift Frank into a starting slot and turn one of those two (Burke and THJ) into a sixth man attacking player; now you have a player who can create his own offense on the floor pretty much all game long. Frank also defends better than either guy by a fairly wide margin, so you improve the defense against starting units and give Frank a chance to set the tone against the best perimeter player. Basketball is a pretty momentum heavy sport and breaking rhythm early can really set the tone all night. If you don't like Frank running pick and roll sets; both THJ and Burke can run it effectively enough that you really don't have to force it to him (but again, imo it's best to develop that skill in Frank so he can be a long term PG mismatch piece).

Yea, I’m gonna chalk up his rookie season to being nervous and possibly(but we already know) bad coaching. Look how he’s carrying himself in this video, there’s more confidence. I’ve had faith in him since day one, but he’s definitely gonna be fine. He’s adapted to the league, is more comfortable, and is putting in a lot of work in the game and on the court this offseason.

You can draft Knox ahead of both bridges and i wouldn’t mind.

But if WCJ or Porter Jr is there, you have to take one of them.

EDIT- Clearly I want Mikal over Knox and definitely over Miles, but I wouldn't burn any bridges down if we drafted Knox
If for whatever MPJ is available they better run to the podium and get him.
