So the Knicks have the worst record in the league and share the same %'s 1-4 with the bottom 4 while have highest chance of anything of getting the 5th pick? What the fukk?

I thought the new rules just meant the bottom 3 have the same odds as getting #1 but they're all locked in to at least the top #5 especially no less than 3 for the worst record. 3rd worst can drop all the way to #7? Ridiculous.

I can't even enjoy the tank now because it won't mean shyt to our odds.

Yep, unfortunately

But the good thing is we can't fall lower than the 5th pick. Meanwhile, 2-5 have a 20-26% chance of falling to 6th pick :whew:

Silver needs to throw the city a bone :francis:

Cleveland, Phoenix and Chicago all got number one picks in the last decade :upsetfavre:

Here's the main idea he conveys
A trade with the Lakers keeps Davis out of the Eastern Conference and, more precisely, out of Boston. Plus, a potential move with the Lakers could have a ripple effect in the league. Davis and Celtics guard Kyrie Irving are close and would like to become teammates one day. That could still happen in Los Angeles since a trade for Davis leaves the Lakers with enough cap space to sign Irving, a free agent this summer.

And while a LeBron-Kyrie reunion seemed unlikely as recently as two weeks ago, things changed dramatically when Irving revealed after a win over Toronto that he reached out to James to apologize for not understanding the demands of being a leader when they were teammates in Cleveland. Again, the timing is a crazy coincidence, no?

This could oddly work out perfectly for the Knicks; Davis and Kyrie together in Los Angeles and perhaps Kawhi Leonard leaving Toronto as a free agent to join the Clippers. The East’s two most accomplished postseason performers — other than Dwyane Wade, of course — are Kawhi and Kyrie. If they were both to switch conferences, that is great news for teams like the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers and, yes, the Knicks.

Basically, Kyrie and Kawhi moving West would leave KD a wide open lane to the finals by coming East to play with KP and a top pick. It's almost a backhanded compliment to the Knicks and KD. Like yeah we can land him if he wants an easy route after every other Max Player worth a damn goes to LA in one form or another. Me and a fellow mod at Realgm basically came out with this description for it "Optimism distilled from pure cynicism with a tie in to troll KD and the Knicks after." It's Isola giving himself a way to be negative about even the best case scenario, but that's why he's the best at trolling the Knicks fans.

I'm sure even if LA gets a powerhouse team with AD and GS is still good. Milwaukee will be just as good cause LeBron and KD ain't gonna be there forever. NY needs to focus on getting Zion or RJ and building a nucleus in the meantime. We might fukk around and beat LA and GS in the future if KP is healthy, Zion is promising and Mitch stays outta foul trouble while Knox becomes a great wingman. I think Frank will be a decent enough PG to help our better players.

I’m gonna need you guys to start hyping up RJ Barrett more.

You know...just in case...

:mjcry:

:russ: Lemme try to spin a negative toward the positive. I've heard around the grapevine that part of his hero ball and some aspects that we see as negative come down to being hyper competitive and that competitiveness translates to a crazy work ethic. We're talking about the type of work ethic that should translate to guaranteed improvements if he's in the right environment. I think I've mentioned this before, but I actually look at him as the type of player that Fizdale could get through to as well. You combine those two and although I'd be nervous about him, his upside is really intriguing.

So the Knicks have a bigger chance of landing the 5th pick than anyone else? How does this new system work? :dwillhuh:
That’s a good thing. The worse we can go is 5 so our percentage for that spot is higher. If you add up the percentage of the next picks you will see Cleveland and Phoenix with the same 47.8 percent but spread out for the 5, 6 and 7 spot.
