The only way I see the Knicks with a shot is AD not wanting to go to the C's coupled with the Pels refusing to give him to LA because they suspect foul play.

Then maybe something that makes sense can materialize out of sheer rich people pettiness. Otherwise, the amount I think we'd end up giving up'll be too much. That Bleacher Report suggestion is nuts!

That Bleacher Report suggestion would set the Knicks back for at least five years.

They're trolling.

Agreed 100%. It's a Melo package. I've always come down softer on Melo than most because I think we left ourselves with so little flexibility off that trade that we were doomed. Had we skipped out on Chandler and saved the amnesty for Amare inevitably breaking down, we mighta still been able to make something but the margin for error woulda been tight. I think having Billups expiring would have at least given us a chance when CP3 demanded the trade that season (and later on we wouldn't have Phil making that Chandler trade to Mavs which set us back even further).

Not worth losing our youth and top pick for a circus season focused on whether he'll stay. Glad AD is putting this out there so we can stay focused on our game plan. No shortcuts!

Yea, that sounds like tampering like a mf. There was no noise about him and LA, Lebron hypes it up and then a month later he wants to go and only to LA. shyt looks suspect as fukk:patrice:

Eh, there’s been noise about him since Lebron signed in LA. It was quiet and got louder when AD fired his agent and signed with Lebrons agency.

On AD, i floated this idea last month and the most i would give up for him was Knox, Tim, our first and was contemplating on whether Mitch would have to be a sweetener or not. All the other shyt presented is ridiculous. Is AD worth all that? Absolutely. But that’s not how trades work. NO is never going to get equal value. The point is for them to get the best deal they can get. We’re not really negotiating with the pelicans. We’re negotiating against the other 28 teams in the league.

Personally, I’m torn like most in here. I’d much rather stick with what we got. I do like the idea of being a third trade partner to get more assets. We could even trade Vonleh for Ball straight up, I’m sure LA would love him as a backup big when they lose Kuzma. Trading for Ball just means we have to get rid of Tim to open up max money and then some.

These dudes really gunning for AD, I’m worried about what the team would look like if it goes through:sadcam:

Don't put your faith in false media reports. AD and his agent ( also Brons agent/bestfriend) made it clear where they want to go. AD even bought a mansion and had lunch with LBJ in LA. Come now..

Trust the process and have faith in our front office and team.

Didn't AD already say he only wanna go to LA and anywhere else he wouldnt be resigning :martin:

No one knows shyt and these dudes thirsty to create something. Still worried though.

I’m not fully opposed to trading for AD, but it has to be without costing us our future.

If we can get AD for a package involving KP, I’ll be all over it.

I’m on board to trade KP/Tim/Frank and a 2020 first round (doesn’t even have to be protected, we won’t be a lottery team).

I’m not trading both KP and our 2019 draft. I’d honestly trade KP before I trade our 19 pick

Depending on salary cap, you would hope we can sign both Kyrie and KD.

A team of AD, Zion, KD, Knox and Kyrie. You still got trier and mitch off the bench, fill in with some vets and thats a recipe for a championship team immediately.
