AD is signing an extension before he hits free agency. The trade going through would likely be contingent on AD signing an extension. If the Knicks wanna get AD this is likely the one and only shot at it.

I say pass then, as good as he is he’s too injury prone and we’d lose too much in the process. Plus if he dips on us in 2020 we’re up shyt creek. Stay the course and wait for others.

However, I think no matter what you do it’s risky. Maybe he resigns with the team he goes to and maybe he doesn’t. If he gets traded to a team he doesn’t see a future with then there’s a chance. I just don’t have a good feeling about gutting the roster for him.
