too many players that need the ball.

I feel like heads tend to look at criticisms of a guy like Burke and link those critiques to Frank only. But while the tweet above is specific to Frank, Burke's impact doesn't just hit Frank in a vaccuum.

Burke had damn near a 50/50 shot share with the rest of the Knicks bench at halftime. It's not gonna be easy for the other four players to get into a rhythm if one out of every two attempts for your unit goes to one player. What's more, Burke hasn't been efficient for the vast majority of his games out there.

and lest I come across as picking on just one guy. THJ isn't far off from Burke in terms of high usage, low efficiency performance this season; but it's the defensive metrics that standout most for him.

Currently THJ leads the Knicks in USG and Burke is second. Both have been highly inefficient while dominating possession of the ball and both have been negative sum defenders.

Hardaway's shot selection is atrocious. It's like he's never seen Durant play. I'm not an analytics guy but cottdaym bruh not every three is a good three.

to be fair, he has seen durant play. he tries to take the same type of shots of durant despite being a far worse shooter, and 6 inches shorter :mjlol:

On the belief among some high-ranking league executives that he has fielded offers upward of $5 billion for the Knicks: "No one has come through with a bona fide offer. You hear numbers all the time. ... I think people have sent feelers out, but never any that were pursued. Yeah, [the feelers are] around that number [$5 billion], but those things, it's like a stock price. It's only important if you're going to buy or sell."

On his three primary Knicks decision-makers (president Steve Mills, general manager Scott Perry and head coach David Fizdale) and his strong record of hiring African-American basketball executives: "When we hired Fiz, Steve came up to me and he says, 'How do you feel about having an all-black front office?' I'm like, 'We do?' I didn't realize we did. I don't think that way. I think about how to get the work done, who's the best person to do the job. We have a lot of women who work in our company who are in very senior positions. That's not because I'm trying to hire women. I think that's because women are overlooked, and so therefore if you're looking for the best person, the odds are stacked in favor of finding a woman for the job because the men are oversubscribed to and the women are undersubscribed to, and so therefore you get a better executive when you're looking at women."

On whether he would have approved the rehiring of Jeff Van Gundy, who quit the Knicks early in the 2001-02 season and who recently told ESPN.com, "Yes, I wanted to speak to them. I wanted the Knicks job, but you can't argue with who they hired. I think David Fizdale is an outstanding coach.": "I never heard that. He wanted the job? Look, I'll do whatever's necessary to help the team. If Scott and Steve said Jeff's the right guy, fine, but it was really their call. I didn't meet anybody else other than Fiz. They said, 'Look, he's our pick, I want you to meet him.' So I did. I wasn't involved in the selection process at all."

This is why James Dolan runs the Knicks and the Garden without apology

the enabling attitude fizdale shows can have its ugly head rear.
its good for people short on confidence but terrible for people who are brimming over with confidence
timmy and burke have a good game here and there and take that mentality as if they're a bit more than super role players.
high usage and low iq shots while alienating the rest of the roster. they're nba players and they have the ability to show out...but clearly they arent the caliber of player that their play tries to emulate. those players that take the shots they do with the usage they have are all stars.
if they were we wouldnt be a top 5 lottery team.

And to piggyback on a point you know I agree with heavy; realistically, what happens to our record if we give a chunk of usage from those two guys to Knox and Trier (or insert any young guy here but I think these two fit best)? We lose more games? I wouldn't mind.

Basically. KP is out so it's time to wild out for him. I guess he only responds to Coach Bud.

:mjpls:
Cause Bud the only one not to deal with his bs, you gotta earn it defensively with him whereas Fiz don’t care if you jack up 50 shots as long as you hit 15 points you’ve earned what you’ve killed:mjlol:

We need to get Lee to a playoff team, I feel bad for him playing for us.
