Trading frank this early into the hiring of a new coach is not a good look for Fizdale. He needs time to figure him out and define his role on the team. I don’t believe the trade rumors and the benching is just a message that you have to produce when you get playing time. He needs to realize that he can’t have games where he logs 20 minutes and have 0/0/0 across the board.

Off Realgm:
Defensive starting lineup (Frank, Dot, Tim, Noah, Mitch):

106.6 ORTG, 98.5 DRTG, 8.1 NetRTG

New starting lineup (Mudiay, Tim, Mario, Noah, Kanter):

104.9 ORTG, 110.4 DRTG, -5.5 NetRTG

Those are the only two line-ups that have logged more than 90 minutes together so far.

:ohhh: so the lineup with Frank, Dotson and Mitch starting is statistically a winning basketball team, and the lineup with them off is a losing one. Color me shocked

No I’m saying maybe it ain’t for Frank. Specifically playing PG. Just by how young and timid frank is and how he over thinks and seems overwhelmed

Then there’s a player like Trier who is a few months in unfazed and clearly built for NYC and the big stage

I bet maybe if Frank was on the clippers with Doc he’d be playing similar to how Shai is cause I really see them as the same type of player talent wise and style

Only problem is Frank is riding the bench and losing confidence and Shai is getting playing his game

Knox will be fine but he’s not having the rookie year I expected
Shai is much better breh, he’s more athletic and has a better feel for the game. It's a completely different level of poise coming from him. :francis:

:snoop: Breh, someone posted a tweet saying that rumor was bullshyt and you still in here talm bout it. Knox is 2 months into his nba career and you already saying NY isn’t for him:mjlol: no wonder we can’t develop anyone here.
Who the fukk is @DoubleClutch though? Don't think he's even a Knick fan or from NY. Breh is just a worse version of @Illuminatos

Same thing with @ISO, has LeBron in his avi and seems more concerned with Heat but spends his time here :hhh: Doesn't surprise me though, can't even count how many people I know from Bronx that are Celtics, Sox and Heat fans, bunch of dikkriders :pacspit:

That's surprising, I think he's been one of the main dudes beating the KD to NY drum also so at KD and Zion in one offseason he's earned some slack :banderas:
No, he doesnt get the ny talk. He says it makes no sense, and the team isnt good. He thinks the clippers make more sense.

But he seems to be coming around to it being a possibility probably because more people are talking about it now. He wants the next to get Zion though

So we gonna wait till Frank turns 26?:russ:

I don’t care if he misses shots. Just don’t let them disrespect you by going under the screen

To me he should honestly work on mostly his ball handle. That way he can get to any spot he wants.

It boils my blood every time frank would take the ball up court and hand it off to Lance Thomas

unrelated tweets having to do with nothing

frank is probably start over somewhere else and be better there on some typical knicks shyt.

Once again terrible examples using stats devoid of context and not taking into account how Ntlikina looks like a deer in the headlights offensively on most nights. Cassell was a role player on championship teams his first few years in the league, his (all those guys too) per 36's destroy Ntlikina's and he had HUGE moments in the FINALS.

Ginobili, Billups, Nash, Stockton all displayed more than Ntlikina has. Every time these Knicks bloggers/Ntlikina apologists do a general stats comparison they always leave out his horrific shooting splits (33/25/94 this year, career 43% TS) and his negative impact when he is on the floor (-8.0 on/off).

Still all these guys are poor examples because they were older rookies and Ntlikina is only 20, but I'm not here for apologies when players his age and of his player archetype (Zo, SGA, Murray) are better than him. Right now dude is terrible hopefully by the time his rookie deal expires things turn around. This is the 8th pick we're talking about we passed up on fukking Donovan Mitchell.

yall go to the depth of hell defending frank and go deep into the dungeon of analystics to make him look we are better with him on the court:dead:

keep it simple, right now he sucks, but theres room for him to improve if he stops playin scared. therefore, its too early to trade him unless the return is an superstar.

mudiay trey and trier are all out playin him.
hopefully the benching wakes him up

It's hilarious, there's a whole wave of Ntlikina apologists on Knicks Twitter. It's dudes who are in love with the process and are more focused on righting our wrongs of perhaps not developing players dikk riding the fukk out this kid. No, son is awful point blank, period. He is a long way from being an offensive contributor or being a lead guard in the modern NBA. I think the whole Knicks fans are impatient and don't wanna develop players thing is overblown.

This is what scouts around the league have said about Ntlikina...
"They gave him enough chances,'' the Atlantic Division scout said. "The kid is very unaggressive and soft -- no instincts to play point guard. He can make the pocket pass if it's there, but sometimes it's stolen. He's playing horribly right now. I actually feel bad for the kid.

"He looks like he has the potential to be a good backup, but never a starter on a good team."

Sure, the defensive end is where many would think the 6-foot-6 French-bred guard has the most potential to have an impact, but the Atlantic scout said he believes that Ntilikina's "confidence is shot on offense". The scout added. "his passes aren't doing anything, he's a better-than-average defender. He can be disruptive with length, but he's slow to react."

It's still teams out there that would be interesting in trading for him we heard some reports recently but nobody giving up an All-Star for this guy. All the scouts see what most Knicks fans who aren't looking at this guy through rose-tinted lenses see. He still intriguing because he can defend and he's a 6'6 guard with a 7'1 wingspan some teams feel like they can mold him, but he's still a HUGE work in progress and could end up being like Dante Exum.
