For Frank, I understand both sides, but he wasn't drafted to be a take what the defense gives him. He was drafted as the PG, someone to orchestrate the offense, once again, not someone to simply manage the offense, so he should be more aggressive. If he has the tools, he should be looking to put his stamp on the game whether in the PG or in the 3. He did lose the PG, and it doesn't look like he'll get that back.
I see your point but I've never seen the narrative of "we drafted him to be this so that's what he's gotta be or else he's a bust" anywhere but here. Who cares WHY we drafted him if his contribution to the team is a net positive? And if we're gonna keep it all the way a buck, he was drafted to orchestrate the triangle offense... Not THIS offense. And if we're gonna be honest, the argument can still be made that he's our best point guard. Either way all of this is just playing semantics. Frank is good and improving... No one should be angry about him YET

I've seen this Frank thing play out a million times...From Mardy Collins to Balkman, to Frye, to Gallo, to Fields, to damn Anthony Randolph:scust:

People keep coming up with excuses why these guys didn't do this or they're eventually going to do that..meanwhile there's red flags that an objective observer can easily point out.

I don't have a final take on Frank yet, but I I'm not into cats with potential. Been there done that. Either he's the real deal or not.

And just for the record I will gladly eat crow if he proves to be a..you know what? I'm not even sure what are we using as a bar of success for Frank?

Is it 12.5 pts, 6.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2 steals, keeping the offense flowing and above avg to great defense?

Based on what I'm seeing I will sign up for that.

The only difference is before it was just us Knicks fans unreasonably high on those players. With Frank, it’s not just us. Other teams scouts and GMs are high on the kid. All the smart analysts and writers are high on the kid. It’s just people who look at the box scores and don’t see sexy highlight packages that seem to be skeptical.

I think that the FO wasn’t high on the kid at the beginning of the summer until they realized how coveted he was around the league.

We drafted Frederick Weis to be our center, that never happened

Nikkas need to stop crying about how we drafted Frank to be our point guard

You morons are stuck in the past, focus on the problem and not the solution type brehs. No ability to improvise...anyone that goes along with this take is exposing their character defects

Frank is what he is, just accept it. Its out of your control, take your L and shut the fukk up

Considering Knox is only 19... I am worried about what happens if he isn't an all out all-star by the beginning of his second year, regarding fan reactions.

Just like Frank, he was drafted as a project. There are no predictable timelines for these kinds of players, same with KP.

KP kind of fukked it up for future Knicks draft picks since brehs expect immediate results.

It's a rebuild year and brehs are showing no optimism and/or support for a Knick in his second year.

Meanwhile, Philly fans giving standing ovations for a No. 1 draft pick making his first 3 pt during a year when they NEED and are expected to compete.

Wow.

Wow.

I agree but talking about Fultz am I the only one who feels they treat him like a special needs kids In the special Olympics with his 3pt shot?

Philly Fans: OH wow Fultz shot that 3!:ohhh:

Philly Fans: The ball went in the hoop!:blessed::lawd:

But deep down you know they thinking About how they fukked up on trading Tatum
:shaq2:

All ya'll should be happy DSJ sucks so we don't have to suffer like that too. Frank does not shoot the ball like he is in the slow team like Fultz. He had to earn his start, and is playing better. Give him some credit.

Also the Heat just gave Winslow 40 mil a year to be a lesser version of Frank and he can't shoot for shyt and is injured all the time. When you look around the league you should appreciate where the Knicks are right now roster-wise.

Seriously, we drafted a skinny 18 year old pg and then found out he was still growing.... God forbid we try to find out if he can be more than that.

True. I personally think he physically has the skills. He's just not assertive. Great points.

A lot of great teams became great because of defense first. Bulls, Warriors, Pistons, Frank adds that key element despite being an elite scorer. He shuts down, your best players. Horry did the same for the Spurs and Lakers despite being the best player.

Cosign on everything you said.

I did find it funny how Philly did Fultz with the special kid shyt but be that as it may, I do think brehs have already tipped over towards the "I'm hoping Frank stays trash so I don't look dumb for doubting him" instead of "Well, I can't build a time machine so I've expressed my issues and now I'm going to root for the Knick."

Also, as others have been arguing... If Frank never shoots another shot again... Cool, it's an issue but, as a fan, I'd expect you to hope he becomes the best Rodman esque defender the Knicks have ever seen.

I just don't understand pessimism during a rebuild.
