Why do most mock drafts have Knicks taking Wendell Carter? Do reporters just don't do their research and are not aware that Knicks have been saying they need an SF or is he much more talented than both Bridges and Knox?

You hit the nail on the head. If Mikal is taken and Carter is still available, it's hard to imagine him not being the BPA. Bridges doesn't have PF height or reach which could worry some that he's more tweener than pure SF. Knox has a questionable motor which is scary when you're picking top 10. So they're basically looking at the safest pick and going with it. Personally, I like Miles though. He flashes a complete package of tools and in today's game where teams go small pretty often, Bridges might still be able to fit as a small ball PF against a good chunk of opponents. If I'm being honest though, I'd probably look hard for a gm who covets Carter or SGA and try to pick up assets on a move down.

Ok. What are your thoughts on Miles?
Strong as fukk, quick first step, agile, explosive as hell(ESPECIALLY when he's leaping off of two feet) good shooting stroke, he's got a nice hezi and step back to his game. Breh has a great first step, but he settles for jumpers way to often when he can take his man off the dribble, or attack a hard close out instead. He gets lost as hell on switches too, he's way behind on seeing the play develop at times. More of a bully than a finesse guy, and honestly he doesn't have the best feel for the game. You remember how Mudiay looked at times earlier this year? He'd make an amazing series of plays, but would follow it up with 5 minutes of head scratching basketball? That's Miles(minus the terrible shot mechanics); he can look great at times, but he bail the defense out with bad shots, and he'll just throw shyt up at the rim sometimes. I've seen him throw up some ugly, off balance shots at the rim occasionally, and it didn't even look like he was trying to draw a foul, it's more like he said "fukk it:yeshrug:". He plays wild. I think he'll have issues finishing and defending against nba length, if he's gonna be a 4 then other pf's will be able to shoot over him and he won't be able to contest their shots, if he's a 3 then he'll need a post game to take advantage of his strength. He's a tweener to be frank. I wouldn't trust him as a shot creator at this level, at least until he gets some craftiness to his game to compensate for his length, but I think he can be a very good spot up shooter on high volume. He'll need work, he has the potential to be a versatile defender because he has good quickness in general, and can be a decent starter, but I don't think he'll be one of the "main" guys on a good team, more like a fourth or fifth option. Wouldn't be a bad pick, and I think Fizdale be great for his development.

Kostas Antetokounmpo would be an intriguing pick with our second rounder if KBD isn't there:lupe: Stash him away and develop him for a couple of years. Athletic+size is always worth taking a shot on in the second round.

Also, gave Doncic trouble in their matchup last week which forced Real Madrid to take him off ball. (Is also a display of Doncic versatility with how seemlessly he transitioned to coming off screens for open shots)
