you nikkas did this same shyt the first game of summer league...then he showed his ass the pre second game
It's preseason relax. not everyone can be a superstar. he will be elite defensively...offense will come.
the preseason game was different
mudiay and trey werent playing
frank was running the point. the first game he was scared, the second game he played well.

the point i'm making today is that fitz never let him run the point guard today at all. trey and mudiay took turns, frank was on the wings.

was it a one game thing? we will see. the point is, fitz was comfortable with trey and mudiay running not the point and not frank

i never asked him to be a superstar lol yall get so emotional about frank all the time. im pointing out that we coach may not trust him to the run the point for us

You basing all these assumptions off a singular preseason game is hilarious
you're wilding.
if posting about frank is emotional....then you're an emotional wreck.
relax
if you wanna be real about everything...hezonja did more point guard shyt in this game than the actual point guards :mjlol:

I feel like knicks have to many guys trying to play the 1-2 and not many hustle/role players who don't always need the ball in their hands.

Knicks will be good at the 4-5 especially considering Kristaps is out.

Knox should have the 3 locked up
Other than Burke, Knicks need to figure out their line up and develop those guys (preferably Frank & Dotson). The rest of the Players can find their role in limited minutes or otherwise to the g league :camby:

Frank passed up a few easy floaters and lay ups, which was legitimately frustrating to watch. I don't expect him to run much point if he doesn't show he can break down a defense this season, but you gotta recognize and take the easy buckets. Still had an okay game though.

Having so many players who can handle the ball is gonna make this offense hum. Outside of our pg's, Knox, Hardaway, and Hezonja all can grab the rebound and handle running the break, so they're really gonna be able to run consistently this year. The players seem to already trust Hezonja with the ball in his hand too, and he looked like the player most likely to break out this year(I'mma make sure I pick him up in my fantasy leagues now).

Gtfoh with all the hate, if you're a knicks fan, trust the process and just have fun. Like I previously stated, I think that Ntilikina will be a 2 and transitional 1. Fitz likes when his guys can play multiple positions.

Frank playing 2 at 6'6 defensively makes sense especially when Fitz wants everyone distributing the ball and sharing around the perimeter. Hopefully he develops a shot and becomes more comfortable when open. I see Lance is capitalizing off the open spots. I think Frank needs to find his hot spots where he's most comfortable getting buckets the way Kobe (the zen master) once learned. One thing that I like about him is that he's hungry to be better and extremely humble. I'm not gonna spew negativity about the brother but have faith that he'll find himself. I hope he transitions into a 3 and D guard, he needs to be more confident and just shoot the ball when he's open.

One thing I've noticed is that I was disappointed in Kanter dropping the ball on passes in the start. He was cold with his limited minutes but he'll do better as the season progresses.

Bootiay sucks, like really fukking sucks but going to the hole to commit the foul was really smart since he can't even shoot a pebble in the fukking Hudson river.

Hicks needs to go to the WNBA or get tea bagged under the rim by Lavars kids in Lithuania, forget the developmental leagues.

And I see some talent in Vonleh. I use to hate Baker but he was scrappy. He would be a nice Bruce Bowen/Robert Horry/Tyrone Lue type defender to antagonize others.

Trier looks promising. I hope he becomes a second or third point guard if he doesn't chuck the ball. He would play well with Timmy or Mitch.

Im watching the encore now just thinking what the team would like if KP was healthy

We gots to chill with the Frank hate. Hes got 1st team all defense type ability and hes shown flashes offensively. Hes still really young and has time to grow :dame:

The length this team has even without KP :dame:

Were building a team thats gonna be in the playoffs for several consecutive years. One more year is all we need brehs, we will be back in the playoffs next year :to:

I think KP would be the 5. Like all those ball handlers from 1-4 can run the ball up the court and have an easier time with whatever big is assigned to KP being out the paint due to him coming up behind them since he could then come in and operate from the 3. Now if they got to go big against a team he can play next to Mitch, but the knicks looked good being an athletic team that had guys running on offense.

Mario does look like a keeper, for what the knicks are trying to do. Not a starter maybe but a key reserve/bench guy. Knicks are using multiple ball handlers, passing, shooting 3's, plus they have length and play defense.

Why are we having a conversation aboit Fiz not trusting Ntilikina when he literally called the 2nd unit "Frank's group"?

He said he's trying to play positionless ball and from the conversation with Knox, sounded like he gave people different objectives for the night. I wouldn't put much stock in how one game went as a representation of how he feels about any one player - he's openly talking about experimenting with the lineups and what they can do.

theres no such thing ad positionless basketball lol
its just a catchy phrase
frank played the 2 the entire game and was not giving freedom to run the offensive like the other 2 guards
same shyt happened when horn wss here
i will be monitoring the rest of the pre season to see if fitz trust frank to run the offense, if not, then its pretty telling

frank is not a 2 no matter how tall he gets
