These are all fair critiques.....however:

In regards to his defense, that's what makes him such an intriguing prospect. The ability to become a 2-way player from the PG position. Defense is typically the toughest part of the game for young players to learn and he already has that down pat. His offensive game needs development, the supporters of Frank believe that part of his game will come around. I believe that part of his game will come around. There have been plenty of players who came into the league as defensive-minded players that were limited offensively, eventually they developed on that end of the floor.

All of our young guys need development, obviously, so why not give Fiz and his staff a chance to develop him? As well as the other young dudes on the roster. We all know Horndawg wasnt developin shyt and that hindered the growth & development of all our young pieces, especially Frank

And while you may dislike it, age is relevant to bring up when discussing Frank. Im not abt to write off a 19yr old 2nd year player and determine he has a low ceiling that has already been reached based off one disappointing SL game. Or one subpar (offensively at least) rookie campaign. He's a young project! Projects take time. Usually around 3-5 years, with the earliest that they start showing signs that they've panned out after year 3. Frank hasnt begun year 2 yet, and this is the first year he'll be dealing with a coaching staff that actually gives a shyt abt player development. If at the end of year 3 Frank still looks the same as he did in his first season, than yeah, at that point Id start to worry and lose faith in him. I aint there yet

I, as well as the others in here who think Frank will be good, may end up wrong. But Im at least willing to be patient enough to find out, and give Fizzy and his staff a chance to prove their player development chops. I just cant understand the rush to pass final judgement on a player so young. Most players take years to reach their potential, especially point guards, yet some of you are wiling to write off somebody after 1 season of play and a SL game :dead:

I just dont get it

edit:

Patience is a virtue my Knickas!

Tony Parker shooting 0-10 shows that he was at least willing to be aggressive and put up 10 shots :sas2:

KP was never a project, foh

This is wrong

KP was a nba ready player
the word "project" was used incase he ended up being trash.

kinda how we use the word project with frank right now to buy him some time lol

So is this. The best ability is availability. The biggest knock on KP going into the draft is whether his frame could withstand the rigors of a full NBA season. 3 years in and thats still a bit of a ? mark.

Gamble pick (KP) and we took it
Frank was a gamble and we took it
Knox was a gamble and we took it

See a trend? Let's see how this high stakes game of poker plays out

a project (to me atleast) is a player who is drafted for how hes gonna play 2 or 3 years after the fact. he is usually drafted off potential and what he can be in the future.
KP was nba ready from day 1, he was not a project
being injury prone doesnt mean your not a nba level talent

frank was not drafted as a project, but he is turning into one.

Nah.

Strongly disagree. But if you truly believe this then your hypercritical stance on Frank makes sense now

yes he was.

He exceeded everybody's expectations

Part of why Knicks fans hated the pick so much was the idea that it was gonna take him 3 years to get going when y'all wanted someone who could help you immediately. KP happened to debunk that theory.

That and Knicks fans hate foreigners.
