Meanwhile the snake is making a fool of himself texting Stephen A while first take is on air to defend himself. Im so glad we didnt sign this faggit, idiots really believe hes gonna comeback and be the same player :scust:

His body is tense because hes a very insecure person. I see him getting injured again :manny:

And i see Kyrie being stuck trying to carry the LGBneTs to mediocrity
I won’t bash Kd But I bet all those reports all year about the Knicks must of really upset him . I’m sure every sources close to the team quote for the nets will be Kd texting some reporter

You should never respond to non intelligent posters. Nets were a playoff team last year and he considered that mediocrity. Kyrie and KD are not mediocre bums like Melo. They are champions who put in the work in gym not in videos tricking the fans. Nets are going to be contenders if both are healthy.
Hmm out of all three who led his team to the playoffs without another top 10 player for years ? Melo so stop disrespecting

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like we're going to be a pure mid-range team next year correct?

Dont think so. Ellington, Bullock and Dotson are good 3 point shooters

Portis and Randle have a bit of range.

And Trier and Knox have potential, and hopefully frank can hit his open threes at a decent clip

Ok I haven't had a chance to analyze the career % of everyone on the squad (:mjlol:not like I have many years to work with)

Just looking at t from the perspective of how we should gauge success on the offensive end and where our critiques should lie.

I'd assume that a team that can't depend on the 3 ball would be running a lot of half court sets. The coaching staff has it's work cut out for them.

Expect the unexpected.

The veteran superstars are all at a point where significant time missed is inevitable. This will create opportunities for younger teams to capitalize.

I'm sorry but these injuries are now expected. It's just a matter of 'which' "7+'" year vet its going to be.

The risk is real and should now be calculated when making projections.

Name a vet that's not due to have a leg injury. (Don't make me have to call the names out)

Every year it happens to someone prominent, unfortunately. Its baked into the modern-day season. Nobody wants to say it because its best left unsaid....as its sad to think about.

Not wishing harm on anyone, its just the way things are. Durability is now rare.

Sit back and wait for the opportunity.

Our youth will have a chance to run these older teams out the gym, on occasion.

No. Portis, Bullock, and Ellington are above average three point shooters. This is the best shooting squad we've had in years on paper.

Ellington in particular is the "man with the golden arms", his stroke is :blessed:
:dame:

Has to be the best pure shooter we've had since Novak or Allan Houston (who he kinda resembles :pachaha:)

Portis was one of the best shooting bigs last season with a 39% on about 4 attempts and had a couple games with up to 6 threes :ehh:

Randle shot it at 34% last season but he's an ehh shooter with a lefty kinda slow set shot if you sag too far to keep him out the paint he can hit it though.

I'm expecting to see a good amount of pick and pop (Portis, Gibson, Randle) and dribble hand offs and off ball screens (Knox, Ellington, Bullock, Dotson) in our playbook, Fiz needs to get creative with the pieces we have.

So I did my requisite Youtube scouting of all the dudes we picked up. And of DSJ. Because reading this thread, you'd think he was a scrub. When we didn't have him, many of us cursed NYK for passing on him and drafting Frank. Now we got him, ppl still think Frank should start, still say shyt like we have no PG, and now even Payton is ranked ahead of him by some of you.

Well Elfrid looked a lot better in my scouting than I expected but I think DSJ should have the job to lose. Payton showed a lil jumper I wasn't expecting. I know it was highlights but his stroke looked good and he looked comfortable shooting the 3. His mid range looks solid. He passed Frank on my depth chart.

DSJ is dynamic and explosive and I like his court vision. His jumper isn't terrible. I think we need to come out hard every game and an attacking guard like DSJ along with Randle and RJ will cause problems.

Randle looked real good. Total offensive package you want your modern day 4 to have. Had he started out in this market he'd have been a lot more coveted in FA. Looking forward to seeing if he can continue his big time play on the big stage. I had fears of Charles Smith when I heard we signed Randle. Smith was a 20 ppg scorer before he came to NY and I thought he was gonna be the #2 Ewing always needed. We know how that went. But peeping Randle's highlights I'm not worried about that anymore.

Portis has me intrigued. I didn't know he had game like that. I didn't know Ellington was a knockdown shooter like that. :ehh: I like what Bullock is gonna bring too. Taj? I ain't mad. Just be Taj, fam,

I think this team can compete for 8th and that's all I want. A return to playoff basketball. If we get washed, so what? We made it to the chip from the 8th seed before. I can't believe some of you fans of this shytty 17 win team that hasn't been to the playoffs in 6 years are acting like you're too good to battle for an 8th seed. fukk that.

Gotta guard glut tho. Management clearly don't love Frank so they need to move him. I admire Dotson for being a 2nd rounder that has proved to be a rotational NBA player. But he shouldn't play over Ellington or Bullock. He will not end up a better player than them. This is what he is. Maybe a Frank/Dotson package can yield something? I don't see a place for them on this roster.

Dotson is already better than Bullock in my opinion. Bullock is just a better three point shooter. Dotson is solid from 3, is knockdown from midrange, rebounds above average for a guard, is solid defensively, is fast in the open floor, and showed playmaking chops last season.

Dotson is more multidimensional than both Ellington and Bullock.

DSJ had a few great games but overall he wasn’t good last season. Payton has some monster games and was a nightly triple double threat and has become quite the P&R maestro.

If Payton supplants DSJ that's fine with me. I just disagree that DSJ should be cast aside so quickly. He has shown potential. Yet Frank has shown NOTHING and ppl still want to wait 5 years for him to even show a flash. Don't wanna hear about defense. It hasn't kept him on the floor or even been good enough to steal a win or 2. If his D ain't doing that, it's not a selling point.

Unfortunately for Dot everything he's good at, RJ is much better at. Outside of the 3 ball at the moment and that will come. Dot is redundant behind RJ. You have specialists like Bullock and Ellington and potential instant O in Trier. IMO you don't need a guy coming in doing the exact same things as the starter, just not as well. Not when you can plug in some specialists.
