Meanwhile the snake is making a fool of himself texting Stephen A while first take is on air to defend himself. Im so glad we didnt sign this faggit, idiots really believe hes gonna comeback and be the same player :scust:

His body is tense because hes a very insecure person. I see him getting injured again :manny:

And i see Kyrie being stuck trying to carry the LGBneTs to mediocrity
while kd is a bytch ass nikka, he's a very talented bytch ass nikka.

Squad is looking solid this year. It's a deep team with a lot of young talent. Starters should be:

DSJ
Barrett
Knox
Randle
Mitchell and Ness

It's gonna be war at those back up guard spots. I definitely want to see Trier and Dotson get minutes though, they earned it. And they should have resigned Vonleh instead of Taj Gibson.

Also, is Payton better than DSJ? I haven't watched him play a lot, mostly due to that terrible hair but mostly cause he was a no name in Orlando. How is his defense?

Edit: There was a dope thread title idea prior to the current one, something like "Ya'll not NYC, stay off our d*cks" or some sh*t like that. We should go with that one, straight and to the point.

Respect to you both....I agree with the optimism.

Let's see what happens on Friday and beyond. He can't jump from half-court over defenses. That's all I am saying.

There was a reason why Coach K gave the ball to RJ in the tournament.

I hope to see some amazing things from Zion. To date, history has revealed that its best to temper expectations based around natural athleticism.

Would be dope if Zion has a shot and handles. I just have not seen it yet.

RJ had the ball cause RJ took the reigns of the team one day one. It’s what many admire about him and what drove just as many crazy too. Coach K was asleep at the wheel. Every Duke fan knew the team should have played through Zion. (This isn’t me shytting in RJ at all btw)

Right now, yea. Better facilitator and defender. Triple double threat every night. DSJ has a higher ceiling of healthy cause of the athleticism.

Acknowledged. Have you seen Zion play in traffic, escape a double-team/trap, consistently hit a three, or post up and hit a turn-around jumper mid-range?

I admit I could have missed it. I didn't really follow Duke like that. I just saw the highlights and the tournament.

Friday....I am taping the game. It should reveal some things.

I think DSJ has higher defensive upside thanks to that same athleticism. Payton's never been one to write home about defensively though I didn't watch enough NOP games to see if he picked up from being just bad in Orlando. One thing I will say for Payton is that he has built in chemistry with Randle and that any line-up that combines Payton/Barrett/Randle/Mitch ought to be a real nightmare on the glass. Payton, Barrett and Randle all rebound the rock above average at their spots and Mitch looks like he'll be much the same as long as he can stay out there long enough. Three of those four also can grab a board and start a break on their own. It's a potent combo even though I prefer to get DSJ going thanks to his youth and upside.

I watched quite a bit of dook games. Zion played off ball a lot. His jumpers tended to be more of the line drive variety, and was more of a set shot. That would need to be addressed against longer and more athletic players in the NBA. If he wasn't shooting a jumper, he was usually getting his in transition or on a feed on the way to the hoop. The college game is more congested though, so I don't think I ever saw him trying much from 15-18 feet.

Gibson is much better than Vonleh and he’s gonna bring that veteran presence

Payton is better than DSJ

You should never respond to non intelligent posters. Nets were a playoff team last year and he considered that mediocrity. Kyrie and KD are not mediocre bums like Melo. They are champions who put in the work in gym not in videos tricking the fans. Nets are going to be contenders if both are healthy.

Play in traffic and escape doubles, yes. Mostly through pure force. But there was a lot of finesse to his game. He had way better touch than i realized. And his three point shooting was a bit of a surprise. He didn’t take a lot but he hit them at a decent clip. Didn’t see him fade out the post much but than again there was no point. He was too strong for everyone in college.

Great point about the rebounding. That lineups with Knox or Dotson could make up for its lack of shooting by running.
