Mitch has that chip on his shoulder and I love that ish. One thing I like about these signings is that they pretty much all play tough, attacking styles. Fiz was with the Heat and they've always had a culture of hard work and wearing teams down. The Knicks have the kind of depth to chase that sort of style too and considering they're still gonna be at a talent deficit most nights it might be the only way to overachieve.

Also, tuned in to NBATV for some summer league (I'm a fiend and Big3 basketball doesn't help) and caught their review of the Knicks offseason. It was scathing, but also terribly uninformed. This was their projection for our depth chart after FA signings...wtf is this!?

They've got Randle at C; Robinson on the bench; Bullock's not listed; Hicks is still on the roster; Ignas not mentioned; and Zo has leapfrogged Dotson who was our starter for the second half of the season once we dealt THJ (30 of 32 games started to close the season out). That makes me think they didn't watch much Knicks basketball last season (I'd say I can't blame them but this is what they're paid for). I'm not asking for glowing reviews, but if you're going scorched Earth on the Knicks you should at least recognize who their best player was last year (Mitch) and what their depth chart looked like (Dot over trier).

In a vacuum though, all these signings are trash without us signing or acquiring a PG. No I don't care for DSJ and Frank is Frank at this point.
:mindblown: why do y'all keep saying this while not specifying the exact player that the knicks should be signing?

That’s why i don’t check for nba tv too much
They always trash the Knicks without doing their homework

No Wilkes. But with Allen playing, we could have a shot at winning the summer league. (I know)

I feel like this'll wind up being one of those cases where the returning guys play a game or two and then bounce, but this squad is one of the only ones that will actually be fun to watch while those guys are in.

I just hope everyone makes it out healthy and RJ gets to play every game. I feel like the last few years the rookies always get some leg injuries or something

Was just listening to Shams who thinks that the fact that the KD to NY stuff was out there so early (not entirely the knicks fault) probably wore him down as it went along. It coincides with the rumor that Kyrie didn’t like the idea of having to save the Knicks.
Makes sense . Especially when he snapped at the media and Broussard a few months ago. It must of been difficult

Yo...:mjlol:

Some of these takes, brehs... WOW.

Jay Williams is now saying that because Durant was the one who gave KP the nickname "Unicorn", KP would have been a great part of the pitch for KD to join the Knicks...

Now...let's really analyze what this nikka is saying.

And remember, we are talking about these "hypothetical" moves by every analyst who seem to know better that Perry/Mills would start with "The Knicks decided...". Knowing the bias and scrutiny that the sports media puts on the Knicks just imagine this shyt...

2019 Off season Moves

  • Knicks going all in on KD, clearing cap space to potentially bring in another star to pair with KP and KD if he signs.
  • Knicks make headlines offering a rehabbing KP a max contract.
  • (UNFOUNDED)Rumors swirling that KD is feeling a bit hesitant about signing with NY without assurances that KP will be the player he was before.
  • (UNFOUNDED)Rumors swirling that KP's team are feeling some type of way about having to "perform" for KD's camp. ESPN segments about "would this be KP's team or Durant's team?"
  • KD suffers tragic ACL tear in the finals.
  • (CREDIBLE) rumors that Knicks will soon be meeting with KD and STILL offering him a max deal.
  • ESPN sports segments about how Knicks offering the max to 2 players with ACL tears "WOULD BE THE MOST KNICKS THING TO DO EVER."
  • (UNFOUNDED) Leaks from Kyrie and Kawhi's camp indicate their desire to play with KD and KP has decreased because of questions about whether they will ever be the same.

I can't read the future, but I'd imagine the above would look so fukking risky and would be criticized by every fukking troll who follows the NBA.

Just imagine locking up KP and KD with max deals to two brehs with ACL tears. nikkas would call us the New York Knicks and Bruises.
