Yeah the initial news stung, but I kind of already knew what it was when I saw so many media outlets connecting the Knicks with Julius Randle. That was the writing on the wall for me.

We’re going to be Aite.

At this point I’m just taking an wait and see approach.

I like the Randle signing. It’s a perfect situation for him to succeed. He’s going to be expected to close out games, he’s gotta learn it’s not always about scoring, sometimes it’s just making the right play to set someone else up to make that shot.

I’m a Tarheels fan, so it’s always love to see a UNC breh, but with Trier, Dot, RJ, and probably Frank also, already at the 2. I’m curious to see how the rest of this off-season plays out.

Portis and Taj are both good pick-ups. I could see Portis possibly turning into a nice trade piece for the Knicks. I think they had that same plan for Vonleh, but he hit that lil stretch where he was wild inconsistent, which never brung his trade value up to anything worth a move. Portis offensive game is More polished then Vonleh.

I’m naturally a positive, optimistic type of dude, so I know they’re aiming to make a run for the playoffs. I think it’s possible. If we get a team that competes and wins somewhere between 35-45 games, we’ll all be content with that. Worse case we miss the playoffs, with this new lottery system we can still have a good chance of landing a top 5 pick.

I liked how right away they shifted focus to 2021

Honestly I am glad we didn't get Kyrie, though, his knees are one bad bend away from totally giving out. Don't trust him to hold out at all. Would not have gambled on that. KD's recovery is at least optimistic because of how he plays, how Kyrie plays is just screaming "my knees are going to fukking explode". :damn:

Interesting... Chris Broussard was on Undisputed earlier and said that Deandre Jordan was basically telling KD/Kyrie to come play in NY, and that KD's injury gave Kyrie pause about being the lead dog in MSG and was like nah, if we gonna do this we gonna do it in Brooklyn. Seems Deandre was cool with his time with the Knicks.

I believe it. Everything was moving along and then KD got injured.
He digs in more when people challenge him. I really don't know how you get him to sell outside a check for $6 billion. I do think he will be more likely to sell after yesterday but he's like Trump.

Corporations and Tourists keep that building full so fan protest ain't gonna cut it imo

Hindsight is 20/20. I don’t think they were waiting around for a Mo Harkless deal. They had a plan and went about it quickly. I do want to see what happens this year. This is once again what Perry tried to do with the Kings.

You make a good point, he did try to do the same thing with the Kings by signing Vince Cater, ZBo, and George Hill.

Knicks missed a big opportunity. If they sign KD to a max more than likely Kyrie comes with him. And you can resign DJ.

Kyrie
RJ
Knox
KD
Mitch Rob/DJ

That lineup would compete for a championship in 2020. I can't believe they thought this current roster was a better option than KD and Kyrie. SMMFH.

I'm not saying I want that shyt to happen but in the event that it does AND KD doesn't come back right, I need the media energy they would put on the Knicks if it were them to be on a million. On 2 mill if D'Lo goes off elsewhere.

Exactly. Nets were seen as this scrappy ass squad despite having 20 wins and got positive coverage because of it - not the reps the Knicks have or had.

They got some pieces to help the young guys develop their games and at bare minimum play more meaningful games for longer. 30 wins won the lotto this year - fight and the league might actually reward you
Honestly, if we tried to make the playoffs, we would've never got RJ. It was a much needed tank last season. Mudiay did a great job.
