I ain’t with the sky is falling theatrics everyone is displaying. I’m optimistic about the knicks future. Nice young core, they making smart moves instead of the try old tradition of throwing money at a vet whose knees are on borrowed time or a big name just for the sake of it being in knicks orange. This only year one. There gonna be another big free agency coming so the knicks don’t wanna blow their load once they didn’t get the number one pick and Kyrie and KD didn’t wanna come. Now we on plan b.
Smart moves in contract length yes but smart in terms of team construction? :francis: The Knicks also had no choice In the matter as Kd And kyrie apparently didn’t want to come and be forced to be the saviors . Guess all those reports all year that they were locked into nyc didn’t go over too well with them and the fact that we sucked with low impact rookies probably didn’t make them want to play here

Man I call bullshyt I think the Achilles tear did it. You never heard anything about the Nyets until KD became damaged goods and Kyrie had more say on the decision.

fukk the Warriors as an Organization, Franchise, and Crew.

Honestly KD probably wanted to be a Knick but Eventually turned his attention to the Nets for whatever reason, we’ll probably get the real reason soon. Kyrie posting on IG about how he was a nets fan growing up and he’s “going home” so to say, so I believe it was a personal decision on Kyrie a behalf.

Charles Oakley on WFAN radio right now basically confirming that players don't wanna go to the Knicks because of Dolan.
Dolan is hands off and we just signed 6 free agents. Yeah, they aren’t marquee names but they’re all solid players who could have went somewhere else.

Also, we were the front runners for KD all year things just changed because of many factors.

Dolan is being scapegoated something serious I don’t believe shyt anymore when it comes to media reports.

24 hours later and I can breathe on all this.

Goal was solely the big fish - if they weren't coming, stay the course. I get it.

No need to fill space with bullshyt players to long-term deals, so load up on a new form of currency in this super team driven league - serviceable role players on cheap contracts.

This way if a disgruntled player becomes available, you have some assets in picks and youth to part with as well as matching, short term salaries to move.

If you're trying to get assets, particularly late round picks to or future firsts to stockpile, you have contracts to move to contenders looking for a proven piece.

Load up on picks to trade up and/or get more in the lotto, or make yourself a trade partner for star caliber players with reasonable contracts that can match salaries.

Stars don't want to come willingly? We trade for them and show them why they should. If I'm reading the moves right, it's not a bad plan to be a trade partner while still maintaining cap flexibility and/or load up on assets.

It's not the dream scenario and the Nets having bragging rights is still the nightmare scenario, but definitely something positive to take away from all this.

cats not tryna even associate with dolan

him just being around is a magnet for negativity

to complete a real rebranding & rebuild they need to cleanse from the boardroom down.........it's time for the nuclear option

He digs in more when people challenge him. I really don't know how you get him to sell outside a check for $6 billion. I do think he will be more likely to sell after yesterday but he's like Trump.

Corporations and Tourists keep that building full so fan protest ain't gonna cut it imo
