Assuming guys like Kyrie, D'angelo, and Kemba sign other places ( which looks likely ) there's not a lot of feasible options at pg for The Knicks:
NBA Free Agency 2019: Point Guards
The Knicks could sign a stop gap pg, someone like Patrick Beverly, but I doubt he's looking for a short term contract. There are also some younger guys like Rozier who could potentially turn into a Beverly type of point guard, but honestly nobody on the list screams like a home run type of signing. I do think the Knicks should make it a priority to bring back Kadeem Allen, regardless of who else gets signed. There's only a small sample size to go by, but Kadeem looked like he was the best pg on the squad at times last year. Kadeem showed he's an unselfish player, who's quick, shifty, and has a decent handle. he's a pretty good shooter, active off of the ball, and attacks and creates pretty well off of the catch. Kadeem is also big enough to guard pg's and sg's, and he plays hard whenever he's on the court. All things considered, I think Kadeem is a good fit next to Barrett; The Knicks could play Kadeem next to RJ and let him be the primary ball handler at times. I also think Rozier and Mudiay are okay fits next to Barrett too, and I wouldn't mind if The Knicks consider signing either for the right price after thinking about it( plus, it would suck to waste a year of player development on Mudiay). Let DSjr and whoever gets signed duke it out for the starting spot in training camp, steel sharpens steel and shyt. Next year's draft will be filled with high potential guards, so the Knicks shouldn't feel too pressed if shyt doesn't work out.
