So apparently the Mavs could sign a guy long term at like 25 million this summer and still have a max slot in 2021. That doesn’t bode well for our picks.

Also I wouldn't sleep on the power of our front office to bring in a top talent such as the 3 Ks of free agents. We got 3 good black guys growing a team organically offering a max contract....you don't think a fake woke, conspiracists like Kyrie ain't thinking about it? Kawhi may be from Cali but we have an all black front office with great family values, ethics, morals and charisma....
I think the NBA is nervous of the Knicks because this is not Phil's team anymore. Those big names will feel at home playing in NY. This is not the same team. My only hope is that Dolan gives up ownership. Brooklyn does not have a black front office. It's owned by Russians.
Take this with a grain of salt, I'm just saying, I've never been wrong when it comes to this type of stuff. I predicted in 2014 that golden state would have a team. The only time, I've been wrong was when I was a suns fan. In 98-99 in high school, I was a Lakers fan predicting Kobe and Shaq winning a championship. I don't root for teams based on where I'm from but by the organization and players as a whole. There's something growing with this squad and these players. All those naysayers will be believers of this young core as long as we keep this front office that we have now.

Woj is probably not the best source of information but I pray we stay humble no matter how high we grow in the ranks. Even if we don't get some big names, we will be making some really big moves that will bring us to the light. /rant

The first pick would come to us before the 2021 FA.
It’s why they went into tailspin mode after the trade. If they had got their pick this year, they would have got a high level wing, and that first Knicks pick would have been pushed back to 2022 after they had a chance to rebuild the team. It would have fukked us, but they stay fukked.
We didn’t get Zion but we got lucky still cause we didn’t fall out of top 3 and the Mavs didn’t move up.The 2023 is top 3 protected so that to me is a trade bait pick but we got to see.
